Gonna be a tough one, IF we have Kobe we could win, if not it's a blowout, might even be one with him though. If we had Odom AND Kobe maybe. Rockets are much improved though, but hey, we beat the Suns first game last year so here's hoping we open with a win again.

If we can take Yao out of the game offensively, we'll be alright.

Lakers 89
Rockets 83

Uh... that's... well, let me be realistic. Lakers are going to get spanked.

The only way to win is if Kobe decides to show up and scores 60+. And I don't think it's going to happen. Rockets are just better.

Realistic? C'mon now guys, this is a game thread. This is where we unite, get excited and root for our team. It'll be tough, but I say Lakers get the win.

^^^ Lakers have a tough time to keep any team below 100 let alone 84

I hope we win but if we do, then it will be like 107-103 or something...

Uh oh, I"ll be happy if it isn't a huge blowout.
As long as they don't lose by more than 20.

97-99.

On a game winning lay up by Bynum in overtime.

I do believe, however, that we can win on Nov. 4. So, it's not all doom&gloom.

I dunno guys. To tell you the truth I think we are going to get beat by 20+ points.

1st of all we didnt look too impressive this preseason.
2nd of all Kobe Bean Bryant is doing his... I dunno... distraction thing.
3rd we are going to be missing our 2nd best player in Lamar.

I honestly have no idea how we'll do. If Kobe goes off like I think he will we might pull this one out, but the fact that we are missing Odom is pretty huge. We're gonna have to be clicking on all cylinders to win. If we do, huge confidence booster.

I don't understand that analogy to be honest.

For one, why would I post on this site if weren't a Laker fan? Even if I were a Kobe fan as being accused around here, why would I want him to lose?
For two, how can my fandom cloud my realistic judgment?

Nah man, I don't get it.

Facts are facts and the Rockets 15th man is probably more talented than the Lakers best player. Figuratively speaking, of course. Just trying to illustrate how much I think the Rockets are better and talented.

Can I hope for a different outcome? I certainly can and I do but the realist in me is laughing at the suggestion that this might be even close.

Sorry. Will I cheer for the Lakers? Yes. Do I expect them to lose by less than 20? Unfortunately, no.

man10 Lakers lose 126 -77. Yao with 45 and 20 along with 8 blks, Tmac with a triple double (30-10-12),. Scola with 22-10.........................................

On the real, i think we'll take this game 110 - 106, Kobe will have a huge night, he'll be over 40 points, and we'll get good games from Bynum, Ronny, Fisher, Farmar and radmonovic.

I just want to see Kobe out there giving high fives to teammates and a decent effort from all of our guys, especially Kobe on the defensive end.

Time to put away all this trade talk and see if we can win with this squad.

Go Lakers jam2

So I'm watching the video from practice today on NBA.com and they interviewed Critt and he's talking about being excited about getting into the game, so what does this mean for our active roster? Yeah, we played with 15 in preseaso, but who are the 12 active for the REAL game? Is Coby Karl making this team? If so I sit Cook, Karl and Sasha.
