Curry is good for points, FG% and sometimes rebounds...he is useless in anything else and can kill you at FT%, thats why he usually gets a very low rank from yahoo. _________________

Curry can be a good pickup as long as you you know what to expect.
He's great as a plug-in center or injury fill-in. |

I've got great free throw shooters (Nash, Jefferson, Hamilton, West, Kidd, Carmelo, etc.), so I can live with the FT%, especially since Curry more than makes up for it with FG%, points and rebounds. He's not a great rebounder no doubt, but he's easily eons better than any other centers on the waiver wire in terms of Roto points.
Eddy will score 20 per on phenomenal FG%, so even in those two categories he's an elite 2nd C, and Krstic doesn't look like he's ready to be a full-time performer yet. _________________ ...as I enter your mind, decorate and paint my sign...LA Lakers will be 2008-09 NBA Champions! |

I gave up on the herrmanator. He actually got a DNP the other night. I can't believe Vincent won't give him a chance especially after May and Ammo were lost for the season. _________________

The Herrmann thing is pretty mind-boggling when you consider not only his production last season but also the fact that they actually won an inordinate number of games with him leading their undermanned squad. _________________ ...as I enter your mind, decorate and paint my sign...LA Lakers will be 2008-09 NBA Champions! |

I'm sure this is not the case, but it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities that they are not playing Herrmann as to lower his value as a restricted free agent next year. If he were to play 30 mpg and put up a line of 15 and 8 or something like that, they would definitely pay more than they would like to match an offer. A lineup of Felton, J-Rich, Wallace, Herrmann, and Okafor is a nice young nucleus. I just can't fathom any other reasons other than incompetence. _________________

NO WAY.

slimjim: games played: 55 games
chris bosh, kirk hinrich, 2 of the biggest disappointments so far this season, both on my team.
wait until they go back to their usual self and the Games played starts to even out.
also, hedo and larmarcus aren't gonna play at 20ish rank all season, it's only been 5 games a piece, 75-78 more games to go.
[trash talk mode off]
too early to tell baby. even if you are at the top right now.
last year i hung around the middle of the pack most of the season. than it became a race between MOJO and I. _________________

We got a pool going so far with me and Michlake in it...$20 in and whoever finishes the highest (in the pool) takes it all home (right now, just $40)...everybody in the league is invited to join in too obviously. _________________ ...as I enter your mind, decorate and paint my sign...LA Lakers will be 2008-09 NBA Champions! |

While Hedo will fade soon, Lamarcus will be a top 25 player at the end of the year. Pts, Rebounds, %'s, blocks, and a few steals. He has a great all-around game. PLus low turnovers. the yahoo system loves all-around players; that is why Marion has been the number 1 player for the last 4 seasons. |

Oh really. Let's for the sake of argument compare only our two teams. As of right now, I have 46 games played (the lowest in the league). You have the most (73 GP). If we were to increase my games played to your level of 73 (based on per game stats) I would beat you in every category sans turnovers and 3's. Enjoy first while you have it, it's not going to last all year. _________________

But I don't think you can see it if you're not in the league.
I'll post some updates/recap soon. |

nothing much to say, no one is clearly winning.
right now it's people with the hot players near the top.
and guys at the bottom with injuries or slow starts.
things should become more clear in december. _________________

For more context, here's the actual numbers by category along with the ranks:
I'm impressed that SlimJim and Mojo don't have a single category ranked less than 3. _________________ ...as I enter your mind, decorate and paint my sign...LA Lakers will be 2008-09 NBA Champions! |

Yea, I'm hurting a bit myself because Deng has been AWOL and I traded Kirilenko for him. I don't expect that to continue though...
On another note, I'm still getting used to this daily lineup thing...forgot to switch Jefferson back into the lineup last night and lost 33 points, 7-7 FT, 1 3PT, etc.

I was surprised to be able to scoop up trey master Kyle Korver though, so the future looks bright (his slump is bound to break, dude hit 200 treys a few seasons ago). _________________ ...as I enter your mind, decorate and paint my sign...LA Lakers will be 2008-09 NBA Champions! |

yea I had Kover on my team for the first week or two of the season. He has one great game a week with about four 3's and then does nothing for the rest of the week.
I would rather have a player that averages about two 3's a game then deal with Kover. Plus Kover's FG% can really hurt you. good luck though |

why was zach randolph dropped?
yes he's missing games because of personal reasons.... but he's not injuried... he'll be back very soon.
works out quite well for me.
need pts and rbs... zach does the trick.
i'm dropping Anthony Parker BTW... very good player, hate to do it, especially in a TO league. _________________

So you're saying he's not going to drop to me with my #4 waiver???
It's these kind of pickups that can give a good owner a big edge towards winning a league. |

Then he's certainly not going to make it to 8 . Pretty stupid drop imo.

Dear Chris Bosh and Kirk Hinrich,
I love both your fantasy games; you fit nicely into my team build... but please wake up, you both are killing me.
16.4/6.7 on 42.3% is not enough for a 1st round pick. and today's game wasn't that great neither.
While I never expected a great % from you, i did not expect 31.8%, paxton said it clearly... the team is safe from trades... please snap out of your funk...
Thank you, Slimjim _________________

I think grabbing Randolph off the waiver wire might light a fire under Bosh and motivate him to up his game. _________________
