That's because of Mr. Thomas, as always. _________________ | Keeping Your Computer Safe | UCLA | Wedding Photography |

I think the Marbury situation can be similar to the Randy Moss situation. Everyone thought Moss was declining and lost his speed. Now he's having a career year w/ the Pats. I bet Marbury would thrive in Cleveland, especiallly since they need a PG. |

I think the Knicks fans might elect Refee Eric Lewis governor of NY.
He very well might have bought them a game without Isiah.
| Quote: |
New York Daily News: Eric Lewis answered the cries of Knicks fans everywhere on Wednesday night by doing the one thing James Dolan refuses to: He threw Isiah Thomas out of Madison Square Garden.
Thomas was ejected with 11:19 remaining in the Knicks' 101-92 loss to the Houston Rockets for arguing and could face a one-game suspension if the league rules that he bumped the referee.
Thomas admitted that his tirade was premeditated but that he didn't plan on being thrown out in the fourth quarter with his team trailing by three. Meanwhile, Lewis could go down as the most popular ref around these parts.
He revealed that in the first half he had complained to crew chief Danny Crawford that the officials needed to call Yao Ming for a three-second violation, saying, "Do I have to make a scene and get a technical foul to bring your attention to it?"
Thomas seemed to suggest that the referees should have been more understanding since he was nice enough to warn them beforehand.
"I thought Yao was in the lane and had been in the lane a long time," he said. "I went out to complain to the official to get my technical foul that I told them I was going to make a scene about and I was ejected."
Thomas was standing on the floor, approximately 10 feet from the sideline, and was yelling at Lewis as soon as Rafer Alston's floater went in. Lewis immediately ejected Thomas, and Yao walked to the foul line and converted one free throw.
"I wasn't trying to get ejected," said Thomas, who doesn't have a reputation for excessive complaining. "I was trying to get a technical foul because I was trying to bring it to their attention."
The league will review replays of the incident and decide whether Thomas touched Lewis. Even if the contact is deemed inadvertent, Thomas could still face a one-game ban.
"I was close enough in his ear that he could hear me," Thomas said. "But I didn't bump him or anything like that." |

Real GM: New York Post - Despite Monday's defiant remarks that he has no lans to leave the Knick bench, the New York Post is reporting that Isiah Thomas actually vented in a conversation to a friend a day later that he is indeed considering stepping away from coaching to concentrate on the team presidency, according to a source.
In Thomas' conversation with his friend, according to the source, Thomas named only three players whom he likes - David Lee, Nate Robinson, and Jamal Crawford. |

Real GM: New York Daily News - After all the losing Isiah Thomas has done - both on and off the court - the Knicks' president and head coach appears to be finally losing the support of his strongest ally as well.
Garden chairman James Dolan recently told confidants that he knows a coaching change must be made and that he is preparing to do just that, according to a source close to Dolan. No timetable was given, but the source indicated that Dolan is leaning toward making a change before the end of the season.
Dolan's change of heart comes 10 months after he rewarded Thomas with a contract extension believed to be worth $24 million. Also, two months ago a Garden official leaked a story to three newspapers that Thomas still had the support of ownership.
It is not clear whether Dolan would allow Thomas to continue in his role as the team's highest-ranking decision-maker once he is removed from the bench. Such a scenario would seem unlikely, but Thomas' survival skills should never be underestimated.
Last night, Thomas sounded like a coach who knows that his time is running short. Thomas compared himself to the construction worker who lays the foundation to a house for someone else to live in.
"When you move into your house, the guy who poured the concrete never really gets a chance to live in that beautiful house that he built," Thomas said. "Our job right now is to make sure that we lay the concrete and that we lay it correctly." |

Too bad Rick Carlisle would never accept the job. |

But he has only himself to blame, he's the one that signed/traded for the players...
And any list that doesn't include Malik Rose loses all credibility.

How the hell did the Knicks embarrass the Pistons? The laughingstock of the league just demolished the best under-the-radar team.
Guess the Pistons were tired from the double back to backs in 5 days.
Tayshaun went 0/10. Rip went 1/7. Jarvis Hayes went 0/5. That's 1/22 combined. _________________

yea i looked on nba.com and i thought i read it wrong or i thought nba.com had it wrong...i couldnt believe it! i mean holding them to 65 pts was impressive in itself....but damn blowing them out by 24? didnt see that coming...it just seems like whenever isiah is about to get fired, he pulls out some miraculous win like this one....
well knicks really need to get into some sort of rhythm...if they dont win their next couple games then this win means nothing _________________ Michael:"Peter where the hell were u yesterday what were u doin?!"

| Sacramento Bee: Numerous league sources have informed me that embattled Knicks coach Isiah Thomas has been turning down decent deals left and right, meanwhile driving those around him in Knicks Land batty and, according to the New York Daily News, possibly pushing owner Joe Dolan to fire him. They have been dangling Jamal Crawford in discussions, but I'm told they still won't give up David Lee. That much is bad news for the Kings, who have shown an interest in Lee in the past and would certainly want him in any Artest deal. |

Another win, this time over the Nets again. 3-0 against them this year. J-Craw lights them up everytime, this time he had 35 points and 8 assists. _________________

| NY Post: There was some speculation yesterday the Nets New Jersey Nets offered Vince Carter to the Knicks, who rejected it. According to a Western Conference source claiming knowledge of the talks, though, it was the Knicks who approached the Nets, about a month ago, offering Zach Randolph for Carter. The Nets declined. |
Makes much more sense than the rumored Bucks deal.
Even though they would still be losing every game, Vince would have at least appeased the fan base. _________________

Real GM: RealGM Staff Report - On Monday Knicks' coach Isiah Thomas made everyone aware that he was upset when Kevin Garnett landed with the Celtics.
When asked about the current status of his team, compared to the rebuilding overhaul the Celtics executed this summer, Thomas told the New York Daily News, "(Bleep), they got Kevin Garnett. Their record was ours last year at this time."
Thomas had reportedly been trying to acquire Garnett for three seasons, but never was able to make a deal with Minnesota. |
