I hope Kobe takes a tomorrow off to give himself some time to heal. We should be able to handle the Clipps without him.

I really hope our guys come out strong tomorrow and win by a large margin. More importantly, I'm hoping for a FULL 48 minutes of effort.

Let's get this fellas!! jam2

Hopefully Kobe either sits out, or sees limited minutes off the bench, the dudes playing with 5 injuries at the moment, he needs to rest. I mean, come on, it's the Clippers.

Hopefully Lamar and Bynum have good games in Kobe's hopeful absence. Casper better show up.

Kaman really bullied Bynum around last year from what I remember. I hope Bynum remembers that.

Im hoping Kobe sit out the game as well. We cant risk a serious injury to him this early in the season

Bynum match against one of the best centers in the NBA is gonna the key. Im starting to expect AB to put 15 and 12 every game now (which is not fair on the kid) but he keeps delivering. The way Lamar and Luke are playing Andrew needs to put up these type of number for us to win if Kobe is out

I want to see Vlad and Ariza get more mins. Luke had 33 mins last game and shot 1-7 man5 (he managed to get to the line few times thou)

Farmar, Ariza, Vlad , Sasha (the bench mob) plus Andrew should get good mins togther on the floor. I have lots of faith in them even thou Sasha makes me bang somtimes but the effort is there.

a W is a must jam2

I don't hope Kobe sits out, I just hope that he doesn't do much on the offensive end. I want to see him getting others involved in the game, especially Bynum. The maybe take a rest.

Kobe Will Be Game-Time Decision Sunday

Quote:
ESPN: Kobe Bryant will be a game-time decision on Sunday for the Los Angeles Lakers' home game against the cross-town Clippers, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The paper Saturday said Bryant could miss his first game of the year with what the team classified as a strained left groin. The All-Star picked up the injury late in the Lakers' 108-106 loss Friday against Golden State, and hobbled noticeably during the closing stages.

Bryant did not practice on Saturday afternoon and did not speak to the media afterward. Still, he told the Times Friday night he would play against the Clippers.

And he told The Press-Enterprise that he would work with his "therapy team" on Saturday to be sure he will recover in time for the game.

Coach Phil Jackson, however, expressed caution that Kobe would be available to suit up for Sunday's Western Conference matchup.

"That'll be a game-time decision," Jackson said in the Press-Enterprise story. "And it'll probably have to be my decision because he'll really want to play regardless."

Bryant is averaging 27 points and 5 assists per game, helping the Lakers to a better-than-expected 13-9 start.

I'm going to the game tonight. While I want to see Kobe play, if he's hurt, I'd rather have him sit out and see someone step up and lead us to a victory without him.

BTW, since I'm going to the game, it's good luck to drink a Sprite instead of a Coke right? mhihi

So who starts in Kobe's place if he sits out?

Do you think it would be a stretch for Phil to start both Farmar and Fisher, and maybe show Crittenton some more playing time tonight?

Farmar
Fisher
Luke
Odom
Bynum

with

Crittenton
Sasha
Ariza
Vlad
Turiaf

off the bench?

Kobe should rest, and Lakers will still win this without too much trouble. Give some minutes to Sasha and Critt.

He'd start Sasha. And I wouldn't be surprised if Sasha scored 20+. You know he'll be shooting.
