Props to Tmac. Good guy. At least he has the balls to admit it. Some guys, guys who wear #32, wouldn't do it (like last year).

Well I'm certain CP3 will be on the bench (SMH at him coming in sixth/seventh for West guards), so maybe T-Mac will play some early and then give it up to CP3. It's in New Orleans anyway so they'll be dying to see their boy.

Wait, can't T-Mac at least give up his starting spot and remain on the team?

I think I can recall it being done before.

That's still pretty noble of him.

2003 with MJ.

AI and T-Mac offered to give up their starting spot to him pretty early on. He declined, but later accepted VC's offer.

But wasn't VC the same guy who was asked by the media if he would give up his spot for MJ, but refuted the question by answering with "hey, i was voted in, i deserve to start"?

Yes, VC was a douche about it all and finally gave in under the pressure, where AI and TMAC wanted to give up their spots all along. I think VC played a minimal amount of games that season.

One in the same. Funny what a little bit of heat from the press can convince you to do.

Quote:
Houston Chronicle: With his left knee giving him more problems in his second game back than Saturday in his first, Rockets guard Tracy McGrady said again that he thought he would like to sit out the All-Star Game next month.

"Right now, I think I might have to pass on that," McGrady said. "I'll attend, but I don't think I can play."

McGrady was second among Western Conference guards in the most recent update.

The voting ended Sunday. Starters will be announced Thursday.

McGrady said he has not spoken with anyone from the NBA about not playing in the All-Star Game on Feb. 17 in New Orleans.

"Not yet," he said. "Let me give it until the end of the month or the next couple weeks."

The NBA has not permitted players who are healthy enough to play for their teams to skip the game.

It's the right thing to do and I commend him on it. The play from WC guards this season has been incredible and I'm sure he realized someone deserved to start over him.

^ Namely Chris Paul.

Being in NO, I think the league would allow that because the fans would go nuts.

And I want Shaq to tell the coaches not to vote him in.

Tmac has always been a balsy honest guy. One of the few people who called the '06 finals rigged.
