Great idea. We've gotten loads of Spanish speaking members the last few days just because of the trade. There will be even more in the near future.

You mean the ñ symbol.

You need to use Character Map.

On my Windows XP machine I have to hold down "Alt" then type 0-2-4-1, then release Alt. It should appear.

Inverted Question Mark is to hold down "Alt" then type 0-1-9-1 then release. It looks like this when I do it. ¿

To go to the character map go to Program Files->Accessories->System Tools->Character Map

Choose the character your interested in. In the bottom right hand corner will be the keystroke combination.

Great job again.

I guess that's why if you type in "Lakers" in Google, ClubLakers is one of the first (if not THE first) site on the list...

BDG,

If it wasn't for you, I'm not sure I'd be here. You've made it where i just can't leave...even if I wanted to, I'm hooked...

Darn you!!! I need to study for the Pimping...good thing I have a great memory and I can read fast. I'd be royally screwed otherwise. (and prayer...can't forget that)

Like I said earlier, if you guys show me it would be popular, I'll make it happen ...

... and you definitely did that.

The new forum already has received strong traffic after being opened up just hours ago.

Thanks to everyone that has helped out with not only starting up this forum, but bringing guys over here and making them feel at home.

Well...If this idea was born after the Gasol trade, so that we have a spanish player now...no, no...ups..a freaking STAR!! But how about French-speaking forum? or Slovenian-speaking? maybe Sasha and Ronny are not good enough as players for this?
It looks cheap IMO.
And I don't understand why this board needs any kind of division? We are all a unity here. Because of basketball, the Lakers and great players mostly. No matter what nationality we belong or which language we use. Imagine what if clublakers was divided into english, spanish, deutch, russian, french, chinise, african subboards? not a great idea.

French or Slovenian aren't as widely spread as Spanish is, especially in the States, too. Ronny and Sahsa, without any disrespect to them, also won't command such a big legion of followers into this forum - Gasol is a proven star man.

And I don't think it will bring any division, myself - it just gives members of an important and growing part of this community a chance to voice themselves more properly, as many of us spaniards don't know that much English. Most of us will give it a try and still try to give our input in the general English forum, of course (apologizing for bad English most of the time, lol), so no division there. And everyone is welcome into the Spanish speaking forum, obviously. There's no problem in helping others with the language or even replying in English whenever someone's visiting - we've already seen people take the dust off their old Spanish lessons and give it a go in the new forum, which looks sweet if you ask me. It's all in good spirits :)

Cheers.

Hey I just wanted to drop by to say thanks!

You've been really considerate creating this new Spanish mini-forum, and we really apreciate it. I'll probably be posting in the Spanish section, but you will see me around the English one as well, so until then, I send you a huge Thank You from Spain!

I think it's a good idea since we're a lot of spaniards we've come here looking to see reactions and discuss opinions about Gasol becoming a Laker, so it's good you put a board for us meanwhile we're rookies (having many newbies is always something annoying, and also not all speak english well) and thus we do not disturb too much the general board. It also looks like we're not all newbies, there is also a migration from grizzlies boards.

I also understand the cons of that decision, as some people think that all lakers fans should be one and united, or other language speaking communities don't have their own forum...

Anyway I personally will try to stay in the english forum ;)

Great idea guys!

Really makes me happy, and proud, that you created that section. We have a lot of spanish speaking members on this forum and it's great that they have their own little section to discuss in their native language. Maybe this will push some people to learn Spanish. Who knows? I'm just glad I can be a part of both.

First of all, hi to everyone! I'm a lifelong Lakers and Pau fan, but accidentaly a Grizzlies fan too freak2
I'm Spanish but I will remain here to practice my limited English and talk about the team. Finally, I want to say that "clublakers en español" it's not only a Pau fans forum, it's essentially to talk about the team, because there are very lakers fans here in Spain, too

Hi everyone from Andalucia (Spain). I am a die hard Laker fan, I have been supporting this team for years and I am really excited about landing Gasol. I am also a big fan of Andrew Bynum. I will post in both forums, English and Spanish boards. I used to post in RealGM Lakers board but this one is definitely better, no way you can compare it. Anyway, we have made a very huge progress since last year post-season.

On the other hand, Lakers is clearly the most supported NBA franchise in Europe and in Spain too. I usually wear 24# jersey, but now I´m thinking about wearing 16# too.

Let´s go Lakers!
Bring on the Cavaliers in the NBA Finals!
