A poster on realgm says he heard it on the radio that Nets offered the Lakers VC for Odom and Farmar. I would personally not do it... but would you guys do it? Also, has anyone heard anything?

I think I also read that the Lakers countered with VC + Marcus Williams for Odom, Farmar and filler (mostlikely Sasha).

Anyone heard it or anything about it? Want to know if this is legit or not, we will have so much fire power but our D will be worse....

C - Andrew Bynum
PF - Pau Gasol
SF - Vince Carter
SG - Kobe Bryant
PG - Derek Fisher

No. It was already difficult seeing Critt go now Farmar? Farmar is the future PG for the Lakers.

Too many scorers, not enough rebounders.

They should be happy if they could get Lamar alone for him.

Cripes, we don't need a freaking all-star team, we need a team of unselfish players that want to WIN. Carter isn't unselfish IMO and he doesn't care about winning, so no thanks. And man how much salary can we take on? I'm all for getting rid of Odom if it improves the team, but what does Carter bring except chucking? Giving up Farmar is a bad idea also. A team full of big names isn't what's needed to win it all, I'll take a few big names and a bunch of quality role players. I want no part of Carter and his attitude.

I like VC a lot but giving up Farmar too in the deal is too much.

The one guy I would trade Odom for since getting Pau would either be Battier (+ more of course) or Shawn Marion...

Artest and AK for sure... but Marion would be top on my list.

If his contract wasn't longer than LO's I'd do it. But the Lakers will move Lamar for a smaller/shorter contract for sure with AB's extention looming.

You guys act like there's a better option at SF/SG we could get for Lamar lol.. We need a SF that can shoot, or a SG that can shoot & move Kob to the 3. We'd be a much more balanced team with VC as opposed to Lamar

Marion wants a HUGE extention. That won't happen, ever.

The SF or SG we bring in for Lamar will make 8 mil per or less

Lamars contract ends at the end of 2009... that is why the Nets would love to have him. He would be a 14 million expiring contract! JKidd would be traded for expirings and picks or young guys. They would only have RJs major contract at 14 million. All just in time for the team to move to Brooklyn.

Yeah I meant Artest is my 2nd fav. player not VC man!
VC is probably one of the most hated after Shaq and DWade and Nash obviously....

I'll pass for the following reasons:

1. You give up the team's future PG in Farmar.
2. HUGE contract.
3. Injury prone
4. Mental toughness is very questionable

Only way I'll MAYBE consider him on this team is if he signs for cheap (which is what? 4 years from now IIRC)?

1. Quiter
2. Plays no defense
3. A chucker. He lost his legs, all he does is chuck now.
4. 4 years left on his contract:
07/08 13mil
08/09 15 mil
09/10 16 mil
10/11 17 mil
11/12 18 mil
