haha naw I saw the same scene, I was jokin about it, if you notice whenever D'Antoni gets mad, like REALLY spittin red-faced yellin mad, he'll start furiously pacing and scream with his hands in his pockets. it's so hilarous. go back and watch that and you'll notice it... I really think he doesn't even notices that he's doing it either.
it's like one part of his brain is like "woah there Mike, caaaalm down" but the rest of him just says "AAAAAH HULK SMAASSHH!!!!" _________________

I believe it was during the Denver game when Sasha had 22 and hit 4 or 5 shots in a row. |
yup and and then they just agreed that they were gonna call him that from then on. |

Great win, even with the questionable reffing. Poor Lamar, he gets touch fouls against Amare and get mugged on the offensive sive with no call.

Can you guys believe we did this without Bynum?
This is a really special team and I am so happy that I have stuck with this team during our dark days.

Man. I just realized this was a back to back game. Not to mention it was on the road. _________________ "If I was Kobe," AI continues, "I'd have begged Shaq to come back, and if I was Shaq, I would've begged Kobe to come back. Ego ain't going to get you nothin' except an early exit." |

brilliant game. _________________

D'Antoni makes no sense...
you trade a physical freak like Marion for Shaq and then say this
| Quote: |
| “He did seem to get stronger as the game went on, which is incredible,” Suns coach Mike D’Antoni said. “I did really think he’d run out of steam sometime in the second half, and he really didn’t. Him not being used to anything that we do—124 points—I didn’t think we could put that many up, just starting out.” |
1. I thought Shaq was here for defense...130? ouch
2. When you trade a freak of nature like Marion you expect to get back PRODUCTION...its really sad when you think its incredible when your C plays 29 minutes. _________________

man what can i say? i mean we just played ridiculously good...130 pts and only 9 TOs? thats insane...and winning on the road against the suns without bynum? and its 2nd night of a back to back? AND it's shaq's debut? and its the most anticipated game since red sox and yankees ? (exaggeration) I mean we have a lot to be proud of after tonight's game....we're winning without Bynum and Ariza, 2 key players for us...and we're just riding the wave behind our big 3....and Lamar Odom has officially blossomed as our 3rd option...i know there's rumors about us trading him for Caron....but i dnt think it happens...at least give him a shot with Kobe and Gasol as a true 3rd option....the Lakers are contenders even without Bynum...i cant remember being this excited about the Lakers ever...they are 7-1 wit Gasol now...we got clips, sonics, blazers and heat up next...we shud be able to take care of those teams...
its just crazy to think how far these Lakers have come....we came so close to trading Kobe for crap and so close to trading LO and bynum for frickin JO! so close to trading half our team for KG....we were so close to sending BYNUM for JKidd...its jus crazy to think how far this team has come...from bynum and farmar's development to sasha's emergence to the ariza and pau trades...nobody could have ever predicted the Lakers would 2nd in the west right now at 37-17 with the amount of injuries they have incurred this season....and nobody could have predicted the Lakers would be favorites to win it all this year with the way we ended last year and the way Kobe went about the Lakers this past offseason...my hat goes off to the Lakers management and owners for turning this around and making Kobe believe in them again...they were patient and were able to make the right moves over the past 4 yrs and also made up for some costly mistakes (kwame for caron and bad MLE signings)...its incredible that the lakers have so many young players and are among the best teams in the league....I cant say it enough but I'm so happy to be a laker fan right now because we all stuck through the good and the bad....this is what makes us fans some of the greatest fans in the LEAGUE! we STICK by our team no matter what! and I love coming here and woudlnt have it any other way! _________________ Michael:"Peter where the hell were u yesterday what were u doin?!"

sasha is starting to get pretty consistent off the bench. his defense wasnt bad either even though he can be a little too aggressive with getting a few fouls it was still good and he played good down the stretch. hes been shooting lights out lately. before i wasnt really a fan of sasha's jumper, but now i want him to shoot everytime he gets the ball. hes a pretty deadly shooter now. also dont you just love how everyone on our team can shoot free throws now. now that kwame's gone, we are really good at the free throw line. all in all, wonderful game. loved the stat line. im not even mad about the d, just the rebounding cuz grant and nash were just on fire some of their shots you just couldnt stop. anyway lets win these next 4 easy games to push our streak to 11!
we just need the hornets to start losing and we'll slide into that #1 spot....... |

Well this is quite a win, not just for the W-L column, but for our team belief. I mean we beat a healthy Suns team, our rivals, without the NBA's top fg% (Bynum), without our second best fg% (Ariza) and with Kobe having a torn ligament. Also both Bynum and Ariza are our best defenders. Really this team will have alot of confidence now because once Bynum and Ariza gets back we will be seriously good. Let's take the division by storm!
By the way, I wouldn't be suprised if Snaq needs to rest the rest of the season after this game. _________________ "I'll do whatever it takes to win games, whether it's sitting on a bench waving a towel, handing a cup of water to a teammate, or hitting the game-winning shot. " - Kobe Bryant. |

Does anyone remember what the song was when Gasol made that lay up with 5:43 left in the 4th?
It was played right after.

this is our record for most pages for a gameday for the season so far. we surpassed the previous one which was the last orlando game 55 pages.
this one 56, not surprisingly. biggest game of the year so far anyway.
