The Lakers must have a stable nucleus if they are going to have a dynasty.
Stop all the trading Lamar or Fisher talk ever. That is just crap!
Let's hope and pray that Fisher stays a Laker until he retires. Kidd has never won a title but Fisher has heart and he is a winner. The Lakers nucleus should for a longtime be:
(Kobe, Pau, Fisher, Bynum and Lamar) These players should retire as Lakers!
They are the nucleus and if the nucleus is strong and committed as well and the coach and Owners there is nothing that can stop the boys God-willing.
These guys should not be shopped. They should be signed and resigned. That is what I like about the Lakers of Old, the Celtics, the bulls and teams like that. These guys and the team managers were loyal to each other and to the ball club. We don't see much of that in teams these days. It's time for players to stop hearing they have been traded on ESPN. What the heck is that. In today's league it's all about money and titles but what about respect for each other, the city, the fans and so on. I hope that the new lakers become a lot like the old lakers as for as loyalty and stability is concerned. I also hope the teams across the NBA will mirror what they see in teams that value stability, loyalty and then winning.
I was very happy to see the Lakers NOT rush to trade Kobe when Kobe was asking to be traded. They realized he was frustrated from losing and was expressing it the best way he knew how. I hope Kobe sees this and even when his contract is up, he remembers how good the Lakers treated him even when he was whining for a trade. Not to mention how good they where to him during his greatest test of his life in the Colorado incident. That is what I call an organization that is loyal to a player. I want to see that continue on all sides of the Lakers nucleus from the players, coaches and owner.
Teams with a good cast of loyal team mates, coaches, and management do very well and that is what makes a dynasty.
Other players that are good notable members of this team are
Farmar, Luke, Vujacic, Turiaf, and Radmonivic.
Farmar is of course the leader of the second string and he seems to be letting Fisher teach him a lot. I was glad to see the Lakers not give up Farmar. Last year I said that Farmar is Far more than people think. Obviously others feel the same.
As far as other pieces. If the Lakers keep the five members of the nucleus in tact (Kobe, Pau, Fisher, Bynum and Lamar) this team will not only win championships but other "good free agents" will want to come be apart of it. Some will even take a pay cut just to get a ring and be willing to come off the bench just to be apart of a winning DYNASTY. Look at Ginobli, the guy is content coming off the bench though he was once a starter. Why? Because of a stable nucleus he feels secure and that is what we must have in Lakerland.
Stablity, Commitment, and Respect, breeds Winners and winners get Championships.
The Laker must have a stable nucleus if they are going to have a dynasty.
Keeping it True,
Dan

Dude, do you right slogans for a living? Your whole post sounds like an excerpt from some presidential candidate speech.
And it's really interesting that you feel comfortable to give advices to everybody: from Kobe to the fans.
All hail you. _________________ Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see and you'll be alright.

Uncle Phil, is is you????
But honestly, I think this dude is right...
Let's see them guys swaet and bleed their jersey's like they did back in the days...
Sometimes fans believe their love for the franchise is bigger then the one the player is showing.
And that even ain't gotta be wrong at all, you know the players have to be loyal to the NBA and not just a team. their famalies gonna eat cuz one of those teams is puttin the money on his acount, and the name of the team payin may change from one day to the other....
it's a real hard one to discuss.....
Peace |
