Exactly, MVP isn't based on one game, it's based on the whole season. |

I doubt the Lakers would sign you anyways, they do a bad job at getting perimeter defenders (besides Trevor). Which reminds me of an idea I had. If you're an amazing defender and you should be the first ever "defensive journeyman" meaning you'd ONLY take 10 day contracts from teams and continually go through teams every couple of weeks XD. Collect all the jerseys with your name on the back and become the first person to play for all the teams in the league. _________________ "The thing that made push pops good is that you had to work for them. | Did anyone notice how Shane Battier had his hand on Kobe's hip throughout the game? What happened to the handchecking rule?! I've got to give Battier props though...he gets his hand in front of Kobe's face like nobody else can. |

i wanted this game soo badly.
I noticed though that LO was really cold to the media. lol. he was answering the question even before the guy finishes the questions.
Good game up until the 4th Q.
We stayed pretty close the whole game and made a few good runs. .
too bad we came up short. _________________ "Fix your hair Sasha. Gotta look pretty now" - Stu Lantz

This is what opponent points guards has done against our defense the last 4 games.
Houston, R. Altson 31 points
New Orleans, C Paul, 27 points
Toronto, TJ Ford, 28 points
Sacramento, B Udrih, 25 points
That's 28 points per game average. WTF?

| Good game. I was worried in the third quarter, but you didn't have enough. Let's set the record straight. Bynum is really not that good. He maybe a good defensive player, but his offense is not that great. Yao dominates him every time. You had a good run, but I think it is facing a rough spot. |

| It's funny you say that, but when we lose we bash our team not the team that lost. You lost, but you are a good team. Regroup and get ready for the next game. |

Actually Bynum's offense is better than you think....he was regularly getting into the twenties and tens in pts and rebs before he went down in mid-Jan.
Bynum hasn't really had much run against Yao, so it's ridiculous to say that Yao dominates him....maybe a couple of games of head to head matchups have happened, and it was limited at that. Drew's only been our starter for a very short time. First game this season, he didn't even start at Center, he came off the bench while Kwame started. And Kwame was our primary man defender on Yao. Second game, Drew did start, and didn't do so hot, but he hadn't yet started clicking...that something that happened as December rolled on, and Kobe figured out how easy it was to just throw up whatever and watch Drew dunk it.
Anyways enjoy your victory....in the final analysis it doesn't mean what you think it means. _________________ Basketball isn't part of life, it is life.

im not going to really waste my time on this post beacuse people are ignorant and espcially aren't going to listen to someone online.
but chill the hell out. it was one game in which a player had an unbelievable shooting night. he misses two of those shots and the game is completely different. we don't have 3 key pieces of our team. sure they don't have yao, but hes just one piece. bring pau and bynum and ariza and we dominate and win by 20. this team will not get past the 1st round. this team will not win probably two more in a row. let them have their glory of a 22 game winning in streak in which not even half the teams were over .500
we'll see who's better come play-off time. _________________

You are wrong, dude. I have been a die hard Laker fan for years and years, however I am a bit too realistic for someone. I´ve never said we´d be better with Kwame, never, I only said that when I was kidding after the last lost game, nothing else. And yes, Gasol may has ruined our season with his sprained ankle, I wonder if we are going to make the playoffs looking at the standings.

Age, maturity, perspective.....none of it has changed Kobe's mindset.
In a crucial game, he shoots 33 times and makes only 11 shots. He takes bad shot after bad shot instead of finding open teammates or taking advantage of mismatches (Lamar Odom).
After all of this, he doesn't even take the blame for the loss or acknowledge his mistakes. Instead, he blames the loss on defense.
Giving up 104 points isn't really THAT bad. If he would have taken less shots, better shots, and found teammates, the Lakers could easily have scored 105 points and won the game.
I would love it if for ONCE, Kobe would blame himself for the loss. Blame his own bad shot selection, decision-making, and field goal percentage.
Damn, Kobe I'm such a huge fan of yours.....but come on man, a little humble pie won't kill you. |
