I'm happy other fans seeing it too. I thought i was remembering some happines after luke resigned this summer. I was allready wondering why? But obviously he did play better last season

Completely agree. I have no idea what Fish was thinking. What a knuckleheaded play. I'm astonished and PO'd. That was just atrocious lack of concentration/thinking. The guy just nailed a three before that. Why let him one for free. |

| At halftime I was actually thinking how I'd much rather lose in a blowout and how Kobe and Co should be able to rest in second half.....well what do I end up getting....a first half blowout, only to lose in a final minute heartbreaker while playing all of your key players most of the second half. Just great... |

well i still am technically, i AM the rare case where i root for two teams !! I was born and raised in Miami, but I moved to the Bay like 15 yrs ago, so i really started liking the Warriors. Obviously the Heat will be sucking for a while now, and quite frankly my interest in Dwade has diminiished quite a bit cause i think he has kind of tanked in this season and lost ALOT of my respect. so all my attention is on the W's for now |

Don't worry guys...I have a feeling the Lakers are going to win going away tomorrow night.
Doesn't matter where we play.
The one disappointment I had tonight was execution down the stretch. Kobe missed some easy looks and so did Lamar.
Two bad calls hurt us down the stretch too...with a 2 pt lead Lamar got fouled under the hoop with no call, and on the next possession down for GS, Luke got called for a foul where he got all ball. That was a four point switch right there.
If GS is going to beat us on two long 30 footers by Stephen Jackson....that's what it's going to take.

With about 5:00 to go or so, Phil subbed in Luke for Ronny...and kept him in the rest of the way.
Ronny had made a couple of questionable decisions (like not shooting the ball and draw a 3 second call)....but his play was aggressive and his energy was high.
When you replace that with Luke....especially during a critical stretch run, why wouldn't you expect to fall short?

We settled for far too many jumpers, man. There were at least six instances I counted where we should have taken it inside and instead settle for low percentage shots. As you can see, if we play this team in the 1st round, this team would be a great series for Pau and Drew to abuse Golden State's bigs.

they had a good run in the second half... but stephen jackson killed them with those two clutch threes.. if lamar plays the same 2morrow and fish shooting like that... and if they dont trail by the half then they will win

This is where I kind of worry about the Lakers. They have a tendency to overlook opponents they have abused badly in the recent past. Then they act surprised when those teams come into Staples and hand out a royal butt whuppin like the W's did in the first half.
We then have the spend tons of energy over the next 1 and 1/2 quarters catching up only to lose a squeaker. If they came out consistent to begin with, they could have and should have won going away.

Lakers play really undisciplined and inconsistent defense....and they usually get burned badly on their cheats, when time and again, they would have better off just staying home on their man.
But the Lakers are afraid of dribble penetration, and against a team like GS, with Baron, Monta and Jackson....you've got three dribble penetrators.
That's why is it was critical to have Ronny down the stretch manning the paint....instead Phil puts Luke in.

you close out on whoever is in your territory. fish didn't force the pass. he hesitated instead of just plain closing out and jackson nailed it.
either way, telling our team to play a zone in the clutch is retarded. |

Fisher was probably afraid of leaving Monta.
It's tough on the Lakers. Warriors have a lot of weapons. Lakers have different guys in there all the time due to injuries.

Fisher cost us today, not only did he sag off but he also had that bone headed play in the begining where he tried to use his body to shield off Monta and missed the wide open layup. Well what else is new, he missed another layup, he should have passed it Ronny instead of being a ballhog.
