thats right... blame this game on the medical staff |
in a round about way, yes, it matters, actually.. every injury, every delayed recovery (and please, it is weird that other than Kobe due to sheer will, every single player who has gotten injured on our team have setbacks and delays with their recoveries), adds that much more pressure to the players who are playing, tiring them out and then when the injured players do come back, we gotta hope that those players aren't too burned out. |
My point exactly |

Third off, these refs are a joke. |
We're playing the Bobcats and lost by double digits. If we need Pau AND Bynum to beat the Bobcats, we're in some SERIOUS trouble come playoff time.
I wouldn't blame the loss on Kobe. He tried, but as you said, he's hurt and limited.
The quitting is what has hurt me the most this game. But whatever, I'll get over it after we win against Memphis (dont' ask me why I'm not that confident abotu that one. They've actually been playing well lately). |
That's 2/3 of our team really, it severely decreases our depth, and opposing teams can double Bryant.
And he didn't quit, that word isn't even in his vocabulary. |
Ok. If he didn't quit, what was it that he did when he was whistled for the foul on Matt Carroll's 3-point make?
He didn't get all demonstrative, he didn't get into a fight with Carroll ... he walked up to the ref and said something to get tossed. If that's not quitting, what was it exactly? |

I never said that. "Nothing gimme" means exactly that, it wasn't supposed to be an easy win by any stretch. |

Over the last 10 games in the west only the Clipps, Memphis and Seattle lost more games then we did. We need to get Pau back, NOW! _________________

Kobe killed us tonight. he defense was horrible and lazy with the exception of that one block. and from my count, he took all but 6 shots in the third quarter. not cuase they were defferring, but he was becoming a blackhole, which is not what he does ever.
he kept leaving guys for threes. kept taking threes. and then he went and got himself ejected.
Way to go kobe, i hope your happy. you ahve won us many games, but tonight you lost us a game.
and yes, i know we are injured as hell and equally tired, but i mean Lamar and mbenga looked like the only guys who cared at all tonight and able to be effective with that. |
Kobe looks tired to me. You can see it in his expression. The inability of players to come back from injuries in the normal time frame that's set at the time of injury is taking its toll and wearing our team to the bone. We're running on fumes and it's going to be difficult the rest of the way.
Watch Dirk come back before Gasol does. _________________

Kobe quitted?
Man, I don't know what game are you watching, but to say that Kobe quitted tonight is just ridiculous.
The Lakers as a whole team played terrible tonight. They shotted a whooping 41% and allowed 108 points to the BOBCATS. Heck, Raymond Felton played like an all star tonight. And although I don't like to use the refs as an excuse for the reason we lost tonight, but the calls were beyond pathetic tonight. I mean Kobe twice "fouled" on 3 point shot while Sasha got knocked down and recieved no call? And Richardson can literally get away with murder the way he pushed off Kobe tonight.
Regardless, it's a terrible loss. But then again, we are missing our 2 starting big men tonight so I wouldn't put too much into this loss tonight. |

The MVP means more to the people who constantly talk about it. Who cares about his chances from game to game? I'm sorry, but let CP3 win the MVP. Come playoff time we'll crush the Hornets and that's all that matters. Kobe is all about championships. If you don't know that, you're blind. |

i think it is more of a franchise kryptonite. i mean we have some horrible, horrible record against them, and we often have injuries against them. I mean LO got injured against them last year. I think in the rour years of their existence, we only have 2 wins against them. _________________

I am sure if he wanted to get tossed intentionally he would walk straight to locker room after he got T'ed up.

You must not be watching the game.
Kobe might be the only guy that showed up. |
Which game are you watching? Are you watchign a Tivo'd LAL@GS game?
This is the BOBCATS game. Kobe didn't play well, he tried, but after Matt Caroll drained the dagger three, Kobe quit on the team by getting ejected.
How is that showing up???? |
Maybe you missed the 3rd quarter when kobe was the only one playing and the rest of the guys were throwing up bricks.
Kobe quit on the team? Please. These are your lakers without kobe. They are garbage. Luke, Fish, VladRad, and Ronnie get this loss for their stupid weak play. And Farmar.
Did absolutely nothing. |
I'm not talking about the 3rd quarter.
I'm talking about after Matt Carroll hit the 3 and got the and 1 on Kobe. He walked over to the ref, said something to get tossed, and subsequently got tossed.
How is that NOT quitting on your team? He has NEVER EVER done that before that I can recall. |
They have been trailing the ENTIRE Game. He's got a busted eye, a bad ankle and a busted finger. If he was going to quit as you suggest he could've just sat out like that softy Pau Gasol.
Kobe quit on his team, that's the dumbest think you could possibly write. If what you said is true, then he should have the surgery tomorrow. That's quitting on your team. |
I'm not saying quit on his team for the season.
I'm saying for the game. He would NOT have gotten tossed at that point of the game if it was tied.
He was pissed off, and got himself tossed after Carroll hit a dagger three.
There were still almsot 4 mins in the game. |
So what? They were going to lose with or without kobe. If you want to think Kobe quit on his team fine. I think the team quit on kobe. They didn't show up.
Luke kept passing to the opposing team, Farmar continued to brick 3's and play selfish ball, Ronnie turned into Kwame Brown, and Fisher built a house with all of his bricks.
Kobe realized that he's not bringing them back and his teammates have already quit. So why not get tossed from that garbage.
If I were Phil, I'd run the guys into the ground tomorrow. Pat Riley style. |

this game hurt...A LOT
if we can beat utah, dallas and GS on the ROAD, then there should be no reason we're dropping games to the BOBCATS at HOME...I'm very upset right now with our entire team but in partciular Kobe Bryant...he definitely blew this game at the end for us...and he doesnt have many of those breakdowns....
very disappointing loss...with CP3 stepping his game up and the Hornets rising, it sucks to see us blow an opportunity at HOME...Hornets will be on the road for 4 more games...Lakers NEED to capitalize on this homestand! and god damn it when is PAU getting back?!?! we definitely could have used him tonight _________________ Michael:"Peter where the hell were u yesterday what were u doin?!"

Our players desperately need some rest. |
Yeah. I found a good way they can get that rest. Shut kobe down. Let him have the surgery. They'll get bounced in the first round and then they can rest for more months than San Antonio, Phx, NO, Houston, and the others....
Real rested for 08-09. Deep down I was really hoping this could be the year. But they are too young, not experienced enough and injured. The starters have played far too many minutes heading into the playoffs and the reserves aren't coming back in time.
Will be disappointing to have the best team on paper this season and not being able to close it out.
But at least they are moving in the right direction. Next year should be a lot of fun. |
