Man, what a horrible loss to a CRAPPY team... I don't care what anyone says about the talent they supposedly have, these guys had lost six straight and had NO business beating, dominating us even, even with Pau and Bynum and all the other guys out.

This team as it stands should have HAMMERED these guys by 15-20 easy. Kept thinking we were gonna make the run and take this game over, and we had a nice little spurt at the start of the 4th, but Phil took out Mbenga for some damn reason and the momentum subsided for the most part, and then the Bobcats just MADE their shots, bottom line. Three pointers, drives to the bucket, 4 pt plays even, just doomed us all night...

We can blame Kobe, Rony, Phil, whoever, but this was a TEAM loss all the way around, from the coaching staff all the way to the MFing water boy.. We got OUTPLAYED, period, by a severely inferior team and that's what makes this loss hard to understand... And anyone want to blame the refs got this one? Please.. Like I said, we just simply got outplayed from basically wire to wire...

That said, we move on to the even lowlier Grizzlies on Friday.. I ain't jumping off the Narrows Bridge or anything, but we lose on Friday I might jump off my roof or something, ,maybe sprain an ankle..

Pretty disturbing that Kobe wouldn't just STFU and NOT get that 2nd T... Gonna be interesting if he can curb his emotions the last 10 games of the season and avoid a suspension.. Not likely though- let's just hope it doesn't get suspended vs the Mavs or Spurs or some team like that..

Whatever, Go Lakers... Bring on the mighty Grizz... freak2

Kobe quit on his team today.

This really pisses me off. This is very unlike Kobe.

You must not be watching the game.

Kobe might be the only guy that showed up.

Which game are you watching? Are you watchign a Tivo'd LAL@GS game?

This is the BOBCATS game. Kobe didn't play well, he tried, but after Matt Caroll drained the dagger three, Kobe quit on the team by getting ejected.

How is that showing up????

Maybe you missed the 3rd quarter when kobe was the only one playing and the rest of the guys were throwing up bricks.

Kobe quit on the team? Please. These are your lakers without kobe. They are garbage. Luke, Fish, VladRad, and Ronnie get this loss for their stupid weak play. And Farmar.

Did absolutely nothing.

I'm not talking about the 3rd quarter.

I'm talking about after Matt Carroll hit the 3 and got the and 1 on Kobe. He walked over to the ref, said something to get tossed, and subsequently got tossed.

How is that NOT quitting on your team? He has NEVER EVER done that before that I can recall.

They have been trailing the ENTIRE Game. He's got a busted eye, a bad ankle and a busted finger. If he was going to quit as you suggest he could've just sat out like that softy Pau Gasol.

Kobe quit on his team, that's the dumbest think you could possibly write. If what you said is true, then he should have the surgery tomorrow. That's quitting on your team.

I'm not saying quit on his team for the season.

I'm saying for the game. He would NOT have gotten tossed at that point of the game if it was tied.

He was pissed off, and got himself tossed after Carroll hit a dagger three.

There were still almsot 4 mins in the game.

So what? They were going to lose with or without kobe. If you want to think Kobe quit on his team fine. I think the team quit on kobe. They didn't show up.

Luke kept passing to the opposing team, Farmar continued to brick 3's and play selfish ball, Ronnie turned into Kwame Brown, and Fisher built a house with all of his bricks.

Kobe realized that he's not bringing them back and his teammates have already quit. So why not get tossed from that garbage.

If I were Phil, I'd run the guys into the ground tomorrow. Pat Riley style.

There was about 3:45 mins left and it was a 13 point game.

Are you saying it's impossible to come back from that deficit in that amoutn of time?

Why don't you do some research and look up how many teams have overcome a 13 point deficit with that much time remaining. What are the percentages.

It's damn near impossible. Even the famous 15 point comeback from the Lakers in the 2000 WCF took the entire quarter to overcome. Not 3:45!

they're still the bobcats mhihi

you should never lose against the bobcats man9

But we always do. man10

man10 man10

The loss is good for LA.

Matt Carroll is white
Lakers should get Matt and trade Luke..because unlike Luke..Matt can hit the 3 ball..as you saw tonight..he got a 4 point play..amazing..that guy hits 3's REALLY good.

UNACCEPTABLE!!!! bang bang bang bang man6

Even with Pau out. No reason to lose these games.

In order for these guys to get to the next level. There needs to be some consistency on defense.

That was a good one. I'd like to think they are durable but they were hurt last year and again this year.

Some guys are tough, and others are soft and out of shape.

DJ was +8 in a game we lost by 13!

LA isn't finishing with the #2 seed. Look for LA to be on the road now in the 2nd or 3rd round, and that's all the opposing team will need to beat LA.

It was in their hands and like all young teams, they choked it away. Sometimes I hate youth... especially when the prize is within reach.

I'd prefer home court throughout the western conference. So yes the #1 seed.

But they've essentially clinched NOT getting the #1 seed, b/c NO's schedule is cake compared to LA and unlike LA they are beating the teams they should beat.

Right now LA isn't even the #2 seed. They've fallen to #3 and would face #6 Phx. But I have a feeling the cream will rise to the top and Phx & SA will be back up in the 2 & 3 spots. It's looking more likely that LA will finish with a #5 seed and get home court against Utah in the first round. And then go to NO in the 2nd round.

Games like this show that we are not a contending team without Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum (obivously).
