Have faith, KB8. First time in over a decade where people dont actually expect us to win a championship.
We'll surprise some people this year. |

| Does anyone know of an english speaking audio link I can use to listen to the games? I've already gotten the video feed to watch the Yanks, but most of it is in a foreign language(well, at least the ones with the good feed speed). |

I really don't think the Yankees can keep up with Detroit, the Red Sox and Mets...
our rotation is too inconsistent.
And please, get Giambi off this team. I hate him. _________________

Our best back up Catcher in this decade.
Everyone loves him.
Yesterday was the dream scenario. Wang for 7, take the lead, Joba and Mariano....ballgame.
Today is a big game though because we already know what Wang and Pettitte will do. But Moose has to be productive this season. |

Moose got rocked yesterday.
And can we find a better option at 1B than Giambi? The guy's a deadweight out there. His error in the first inning yesterday pretty much got the ball rolling for a Jays victory.
Phil's on the mound tonight... go get 'em kid! _________________ A legendary day (81 points) - Jan. 22, 2006 vs. Raptors.

Just to add some things...
Yanks squeeze by the Jays again for a 3-2 victory. Joba + Mo = game over! Phil Hughes was amazing and kept the runs to a minimum.
You can already see the stamp Girardi has on this team. They're actually manufacturing runs by bunting, sacrifices, bloopers, rather than waiting for the huge home run bombs like in the Joe Torre Era.
Overall, solid performance by the team and I'm lovin' how Girardi has grab a hold of this team. _________________ A legendary day (81 points) - Jan. 22, 2006 vs. Raptors.

Karma, KB24!! Karma!!!!!!!!
There seems to be some beef with Joba's fist pumping when he gets a big out. I dont have any problems with it but I can see how others do.
All in all, he's just a young fella who is living the dream. Thats the way I see it. |

And yet they're still ranked higher than the Yankees in this week's power rankings.
Also, from NYYFans.com... Mo + Joba in the late innings = the opponents getting a "MoJob" _________________ A legendary day (81 points) - Jan. 22, 2006 vs. Raptors.

That's completely fine, as long as he doesn't act like a retard like Francisco Rodriguez and Jose Valverde. _________________

Agreed....
Wang starts the year with 2 wins. 13 innings and only 2 runs given up. |

Anyone following the BoSox-Yanks game? Great game so far. Giambi's HR puts the Yanks on top. Only one more inning left. _________________ A legendary day (81 points) - Jan. 22, 2006 vs. Raptors.

Wang has sure looked like an ace so far this season. Tomorrows game with Moose on the hill is a throw away game, now that we won game 1.......if Moose pitches well then so be it.
Jose Molina is the team MVP so far. |

Anyone catch the slugfest tonight against Boston? Yanks go up 7-3, then boston goes up 9-7, then the Yanks again at 11-9, finally putting it away with a four run 8th with 4 more runs.

Andy has been looking great since the opener...
Wang had one crappy game...
Kennedy and Hughes have been disappointing
and Moose is what he is...inconsistent. Has some great innings followed by absolute brain farts. _________________

Steinbrenner Jr.'s raising a stink and wants Joba to start. I personally like the move. I wouldn't mind putting one of the struggling starters in the 'pen as a replacement. That bottom part of the rotation is killin' the Yanks right now. It wouldn't hurt to give Joba a try at starting this early in the season. _________________ A legendary day (81 points) - Jan. 22, 2006 vs. Raptors.
