Now they are scared...
.....If they are healthy, Portland will be the best team in the NBA next year. |
their forum stinks.

just forfeit all games in Portland from now on. I can't even remember the last time they've beaten us here. |

It's just not their year....
Bynum has missed 3 months, his timing and stamina are severely affected not to menion learning to play with Pau. He won't come back to everything dandy...
Heck Michael Jordan couldn't even propel the Bulls in 95 after coming back for the playoffs. It just doesn't work that way.
Walton has been hurt all year.
Fisher is now slowed tremendously, so much that its affecting his playing time.
Ronnie has logged so many minutes b/c of all the injuries that he's significantly lost his effectiveness not to mention his great 20 foot jumper and his kwame-esque finishes around the basket.
Kobe is Kobe but definitely hurting.
Pau also hasn't had a full grasp of the system yet.
Odom might be the only one at full force.
Farmar has hit a wall and its severely affected his outside shot. He's just not giving LA a spark off the bench.
If the Lakers can secure the #2 seed, then they may have a shot this year. Otherwise chalk this year up to building playoff character (similar to the Jazz of last year, or the late 90's lakers teams) |

Another blown opportunity to gain up on the Hornets and another game with lack of defensive intensity.
This team scored 62 points against the Spurs a couple days ago.and we give up 58 in the first half. WTF?! |
We do not play defense. Its that simple really. |
We can, but we don't. |
Well if we don't play defense in the playoffs. We are going bye-bye real early.
Defense is whats going to win games in the playoffs. I hope these guys figure it out real soon because I really want to go beyond the first round this year. _________________

we need to move out of #3 we are in no position to play PHX
we need PHX to win tommorrow and then we need to beat SAS
NOH has us and then dallas pretty much they play sacramento, minnestota, and the clippers
to get the #1 seed we need to beat them and hope dallas beats them because besides that the other teams are crap |

Love the optimism. I'm glad they actually play the games because you know it actually could be our year, really. We can sit here and prognosticate until the cows come home but it doesn't mean anything. Personally, I like the team a great deal and I think that with a fairly healthy Bynum, even though he won't be 100%, we will be greatly improved.
Ok, this game sucked. I absolutely cannot understand why the Lakers can't beat this team in the Rose Garden. It really is some supernatural curse or something. These guys didn't even have Pryz. . . however you spell the guy's name - the center.
The Lakers just looked uninspired throughout the entire first half as noted by so many here. WTH? You've got a chance to move up on the Hornets and you lay a total egg? No defense anywhere to be found. And I agree with everyone here, we can't just turn a switch when Bynum gets back. That won't solve our defensive woes. I'm not sure what will, but Sasha playing D on the opposing PG did seem to help. We may have to go back to that in the playoffs. |

Man, I know playoff time is totally different atmosphere, but how can we get to the finals if we keep loosing to teams like Portland, or Memphis? |

Portland's underrated, they've beaten some good teams. We're not going to win every game, let this one go.
Bobcats and Memphis we didn't have key players.
Yet we're still 53-25 _________________ http://youtube.com/watch?v=WLZ3uDDAP0c

Ugly, ugly loss. I hope we end up with the 4th seed and we face Utan with home court advantage, I don´t want to play the Suns. _________________ NO RISK, NO GLORY

thats what 's really pissin me off lately, loosing to teams wich season is over and us still fighting for good playoff positioning...
I think there goes the no.1 spot.
I guess we could play a d-league team at rose garden and still come up lossing, sth strange going on in that building when lakers are there _________________
