Please respond to this either by replying to the thread or PMing an active staff member. Don't make this a forum for debate by replying to a previous post in this thread either.

Thanks-- we appreciate your feedback.

Write a line or so about the following forums of Clublakers, and how you feel about each one in regards to helping (or hurting) the board.

The Hoops Forums

Lakers Discussion
Positives: Talking Lakers b-ball.
Negatives: Threads after a loss. I think you need to enforce more of a policy on this matter.

NBA Discussion
Positives: Talking basketball in general. Not too much clutter...
Negatives: ... but there is SOME clutter.

The Other Forums

Good Call - Never visit it.
Gameday Forum - Perfect the way it is.
Graveyard - Never visit it.
The Theater - Serves it's purpose with no problems.
The Gallery - See above.
Hoop Gear - Never visit it.
Fantasy Sports - Serves it's purpose with no problems.
Other Sports - Serves it's purpose with no problems.
CL Feed - Surprised it wasn't deleted a year ago.
The Purple Carpet - A good place to get people started. No issues.
Open Court - Some incredibly redundant threads. Defines clutter. Basically one giant random thread. Fun at times.
GM Challenge / All Time League - Awesome when it's up and running.
Summer Pro League - Serves it's purpose with no problems.

Write a line or so about the following forums of Clublakers, and how you feel about each one in regards to helping (or hurting) the board.

The Hoops Forums

Lakers Discussion
Positives: - With the policies applied more, there's been somewhat less attacks by members to members
Negatives: - I don't have a problem with the Doomsday threads as long as the OP has a reasonable explanation for making it. There's been a few threads that have been locked yet the OP has made an effort for its justification (long post). The motto is come strong (be honest), come often, so I think that should be looked at when locking Doomsday threads.

NBA Discussion
Positives: It's by far the best forum that produces the best discussion. I don't see too many disputes happening here, so I can see why most dormant members go here.
Negatives: It's fine but could use more members for discussion.

The Other Forums

Good Call - It's somewhat of a paradox. You're voting against the team to lose which is somewhat awkward.
Gameday Forum - I think there needs to be more moderators in this forum. The other forums are alright as far as moderating but Gameday consists of a lot of trolls, dormant members, and others coming in there looking to start trouble. It's just not good for those trying to discuss basketball.
Graveyard - I don't know how this pertains to us. man10
The Theater - I think this should replace Laker Trade Rumors. The reason being that some videos such as "Laker Rhapsody" were reposted like 10 times in LD. Some people don't know about the Theater or even visit NBA Community altogether, so it would make sense to move it to Laker Community where its visible to them.
The Gallery - Good
Hoop Gear - Good
Fantasy Sports - Good
Other Sports - Good
CL Feed - Good
The Purple Carpet - Good
Open Court - Good
GM Challenge / All Time League - Good
Summer Pro League - Good

Write a line or so about the following forums of Clublakers, and how you feel about each one in regards to helping (or hurting) the board.

The Hoops Forums

Lakers Discussion
Positives: Up to the minute Laker news and articles
Negatives: Sometimes there doesn't seem to be a mod on line to take care of the trolls immediately, but it's no biggie.

NBA Discussion
Positives: Well maintained and there doesn't seem to be as much flaming in this forum
Negatives: None

The Other Forums

Good Call - NA
Gameday Forum - Gets very slow during certain games. So slow I don't bother to go there much anymore.
Graveyard - NA
The Theater - I don't go here much, but it seems like it has some good stuff
The Gallery - NA
Hoop Gear - NA
Fantasy Sports - NA
Other Sports - NA
CL Feed - Needs to become more consistent with how often a new one is released.
The Purple Carpet - Not very exciting, but I guess it serves it's purpose
Open Court - Love it jam2
GM Challenge / All Time League - NA
Summer Pro League - Informative

Comment: I don't like how some pictures in the OC of women fully clothed and not posted to rank them (i.e. hot girls thread) seem to be randomly deleted and with no comment by the mod who edited them.

It had gotten to the point where it seemed posting a pic of a female was against CL forum rules. I don't know if this has already been rectified.

Write a line or so about the following forums of Clublakers, and how you feel about each one in regards to helping (or hurting) the board.

The Hoops Forums

Lakers Discussion
Positives: Good info that I wouldn't hear or get here in NY
Negatives: repetitive threads. high emotion/reactionary threads after one game (win or loss).

NBA Discussion
Positives: A lot of good news, some good discussions.
Negatives: too many bash threads, and lebron thread turns into a Kobe/Lebron debate, etc.

The Other Forums

Good Call - Don't use it
Gameday Forum - Good forum, should be used after games to talk about how good/bad the loss was instead of making threads in LD.
Graveyard - Does it's job I suppose.
The Theater - Don't really visit it.
The Gallery - Great for finding new walls and such.
Hoop Gear - Barely used.
Fantasy Sports - Good, informative.
Other Sports - Keeps OC less cluttered.
CL Feed - Not necessary now that there is no feed. I'm hungry!
The Purple Carpet - Don't really visit.
Open Court - Great for getting to know other members of CL beyond our love of the Lakers.
GM Challenge / All Time League - I love being a part of these.
Summer Pro League - Good to see how our rookies do.

Administration

Relationship with other members - 8 (some mods might seem like they on a powertrip AT TIMES for no reason, they will remain nameless. Very few of them, or else a lot of you guys do a great job.)

Maintaining the forums (no spamming, editing, moving, etc) - 8. (it goes both ways. You guys keep everything VERY CLEAN AND ORGANIZZED. I appreciate that. I even like how many posts are locked because it is repetitive and pointless. However, having said that, I truly think some posts need new threads to know what's going on instead of having a new topic in the 98th page of an existing one. Cutting them in half will help. Other than that, everything is fine)

Forum decisions (creating new forums, combining, etc) - 10

[b]Site/Forum Managers

Relationship with other members - 8 (the people that have been stupid have been done away with quickly, which is good. Also, some people here have a nasty attitude problem, but there is nothing to fix that)

Hoop Gear

Relationship with other members - N/A (i don't go into Hoop Gear too much)
Maintaining the forums (editing, moving, warning, etc) - n/a

CL Graphics (banners, emoticons, etc)

Creativity - 7 (i only say this because i am a graphic and web designer. Organization is decent, but the way it is built around the forum is okay. I would like to see a cleaner version, but that is just me. It would be great idea if clublakers.com reallllly REALLLY expanded.)

Quality - 8

Write a line or so about the following forums of Clublakers, and how you feel about each one in regards to helping (or hurting) the board.

The Hoops Forums
10 here. The basketball forums are great. I wouldn't change a think information and process wise.

Lakers Discussion - 9
Positives: Only talking about information here, it's perfect. I love how everything is updated. It's close to perfect. I just wish there weren't sooooo many stickies all the time. I tend to ignore those because I just glance over it, knowing it is always there)

Negatives: The stickies probably, and the long long long threads that could and should be divided into smaller pieces.

NBA Discussion -10
Positives: Not as popular as Laker Discussion so this doesn't need changing.
Negatives: None.

The Other Forums

Good Call - not experienced.
Gameday Forum - 10, it's very nice to have people to communicate with at home about the game.
Graveyard - doesn't mean anything, only good to see what has been deleted and what hasn't.
The Theater - Very cool section. Very good as well. Sometimes, the better videos get lost, so I would say the better and more important videos (FOR EVERYONE) get stickied somewhere else for a bit, then moved to Theater. For example, if i find a really cool Kobe video, or make a really cool Kobe video, I would want it to be stickied in Laker discussion for a bit, then moved accordingly. Also, I am in the process of making a very nice Kobe wall, I'd really appreciate if that was in Lakers Discussion for a day or two, them moved.)
The Gallery - Same thing, awesome. Big ups to the people who keep posted pics daily of games and other things. Ups to JSM as well.
Hoop Gear - n/a
Fantasy Sports - n/a
Other Sports - Good forum for completely different topics.
CL Feed - n/a
The Purple Carpet - n/a
Open Court - again, very good to keep it organized.
GM Challenge / All Time League - n/a
Summer Pro League - n/a

Thank you for any and all replies.

Write a line or so about the following forums of Clublakers, and how you feel about each one in regards to helping (or hurting) the board.

The Hoops Forums

Lakers Discussion
Positives: Great place to talk anything about the Lakers. Always the first place I check when looking for news.
Negatives: Some redundant threads (especially after a loss)

NBA Discussion
Positives: Good place to go for any news regarding the rest of the NBA.
Negatives: Not all news is posted (but the important things are so it's really not that big a negative)

The Other Forums

Good Call - Never go there
Gameday Forum - Great forum. Always fun to go back and read our fans reactions after we win a close game.
Graveyard - Never go there but a necessary forum to archive some locked threads.
The Theater - Don't visit often but has good material.
The Gallery - Same as theater.
Hoop Gear - Visit very rarely
Fantasy Sports - Never go there
Other Sports - Visit very rarely
CL Feed - Never really been here and it seems useless. Even with the Feed finally coming back, I don't think it needs its own forum.
The Purple Carpet - Good place to learn about and greet new members.
Open Court - One of the best forums.
GM Challenge / All Time League - Never participated or visited the forum.
Summer Pro League - I check it out occasionally during the summer.

Random Comments - Overall this is probably one of the best forums on the net the way its run. Thanks for keeping it running. jam2

I'm assuming that Administration and Forum Managers are JSM and BDG. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Write a line or so about the following forums of Clublakers, and how you feel about each one in regards to helping (or hurting) the board.

The Hoops Forums

Lakers Discussion
Positives: Great place to talk about the Lakers present, past, and future.
Negatives: Tons of clutter and emotions after Laker losses or injury. Too many redundant threads. Several personal attacks, though that's decreased with stricter policies (that's good).

NBA Discussion
Positives: Talk about everything basketball not related to Lakers with knowledgeable posters.
Negatives: Nothing really, aside from redundancy and abundance of LeBron threads.

The Other Forums

Good Call - Tried it once, thought it was lame.
Gameday Forum - I'm usually at the game or not near a computer when I watch the away games. I like to relax when I watch games, not type. Plus, there's way too much going on in that forum. Not for me.
Graveyard - Just for laughs.
The Theater - Don't visit.
The Gallery - Don't visit.
Hoop Gear - Don't visit.
Fantasy Sports - I only play fantasy basketball. I don't discuss it really with other members here.
Other Sports - Love it for USC football and college hoops and NFL. Don't like many other sports.
CL Feed - What? mhihi
The Purple Carpet - I used it to introduce myself and sometimes I check it out to see which posters will end up staying for good, but rarely.
Open Court - I've really grown to liking the OC, sometimes even over LD. A bunch of cool people with cool topics and great conversation. Sometimes it's nice to get away from LD and just talk bullcrap. I consider some of the guys friends so I really have no problem with OC, except for a few posters and redundant threads... something I have no control over.
GM Challenge / All Time League - GM Challenge was competitive and a blast, didn't have time for the ATL though it sounded fun.
Summer Pro League - Worked it last year and I enjoy watching it and talking with people about it.

This is a great site. I visit it more than any other website on the web. I love the Lakers and it's nice to talk to people who share similar interests. Every poster has something unique to offer and it's always fun getting to know new people and finding out new things. Keep doing what your doing staff, no real complaints from me.

The Hoops Forums

Lakers Discussion
Positives: Talking Lakers, getting up to date news, I may not get.
Negatives: After losses to much over reaction....threads get way to long...should be more threads....going through threads that are like 45 pages is nuts.

NBA Discussion
Positives: Keeping up with the league from more of a Laker perspective
Negatives: Can't think of any
