Should I drop Chauncey Billups since he is resting now?

^ its pointless for the Pistons to play their starters big minutes or play them at all since they're like 6.5 games out of 1st place with like 7-8 games to go.

I am a Chauncey Billups owner and I dropped him from my roto league.

Here's why

He's a DNP risk every night because yes he's injured and his team would probably rest him anyways with the playoffs coming soon and they have the 2 seed locked up and 1 seed out of reach. He might play against CLE, WAS, TOR and PHI (at least 3 out of the 4). And even if he does play, it won't be more than 25-30 minutes

Its hard to hold onto DNP risks at this point in the year, I would drop him.

Here's their remaining schedule

Today (4th) vs New Jersey

Sunday at Mia

Tuesday vs New York

Wednesday at PHI (might play since this could be a potential first round opponent and they might want to "test" or "get a feel" for their opponent")

Friday vs WAS (same as above)

Sunday vs TOR (probably won't play since the Raps are an easy opponent)

Tuesday vs Minny

Wednesday at Cle (big time rival and potential playoff opponent so might play)

anyone know if Arenas will play tonight against Detroit?

If so, who should I start tonight? Gil or Devin Harris? I need 3's and PTS and good FG%.

Mannn... the team I'm going up against has my number. And I've had the top spot all season. He's had some sketchy pickups and trades...

I picked up Ramon Sessions off the Waiver as an after thought cause Mike Miller cashed in for the rest of the season..

Look what he did tonight against the bulls

20pts 8rebs 24asts!

A steal a block and great percentages.

My god he might have just won me gold.

I had started the season first all the way until Bynum went down and then JO went out. I held on to Bynum and continued to get hit with injuries to other superstar players. I dropped all the way to 5th by the end of the regular season.

Our commish had put a cap of 2 on the number of moves per week. The first move I made was to drop Roy and pick up Felton. In the first round of the playoffs, I played a guy whose record did not indicate how good his team was. He had become serious about fantasy midway into the season and had a huge turn around. I beat him 6-3 but he had dropped Maggette on the day before the final day of the week. The number 1 seed in our league picked Maggette up and I'm sure you can guess who I was playing next. Needless to say he already had LeBron on his team (along with Baron/Stephen Jackson/Pierce/Redd). In the end, I beat him 6-3 having both Rasheed/Billups who didn't play one game that week and played limited minutes the other games, Caron who was injured, Drew Gooden who was injured, KG who didn't play and Artest who was injured.

Now on to the final week, Artest was a DNP on Tuesday. I used one move to drop Artest and pick up Salmons and another to drop Felton and pick up Roy. Josh Howard and Caron Butler did not play on Saturday. Caron and KG did not play on Sunday. As of the beginning of yesterday, I was only winning FT%, AST, and TOs and we were tied in blocks (3-5). Then with the games played yesterday I took the lead on him in rebounds by 20 and assists by 20 so I stand at 5-4. Even crazier is the steals category. Steals was one of the categories I was usually winning, but that wasn't going to be happening with Caron out and Artest not playing. However, yesterday JRich went crazy with 8 steals, Salmons had 3 and now I have a chance of taking that category. He has AI/Carmelo/Jamison on his team. He also has Kobe but obviously he won't be playing in games today.

I'll post an update of how it ends up.

Haha I just won my championship in h2h with waiver wire pickups.

Gerald, Drew, Marion and Mike Miller all caked out on me and I won with dudes like Ramon Sessions and Stuckey.

They should really have it end like a week or two before the season ends. The results end up really skewed. I learned my lesson from last year though, so I hit the wire hard this last month.

Haha, I forgot to update. I managed to hold on (from my previous post) and win the league as the number 5 seed in the playoffs. My record was 91-88 but that was because I spent about 80% of the year with 3-4 rotating players that were injured on my roster. I stuck on to Bynum too long especially. Once I gave up on Bynum and some of my players came back, I traded Bosh and Felton for Caron and Artest (when he came back from the IR the first time).

That trade helped me get all the way through the semi-finals where my opponent had LeBron and Baron (near triple double nightmares). Then of course Artest was injured most of the finals week, but I managed to pull it out. It should not have been as hard to beat my opponent that week but between Billups/Rasheed playing limited minutes and KG not playing as well as he was, things became difficult.
