| This is how i think it is going to play out. The Lakers start out in a little slump and get down by about 10 points going into the 2nd quarter. They will then come back and lead by 2 at half time. They will then own the third quarter but get sloppy in the fourth and end up winning it by 6 points by a score of 111-105. If this is what happens i am going to laugh. |

“That team could be where we are now,” Lamar Odom said of the Nuggets. “This is playoff time. It’s going to be a challenge. They’re great 1-on-1 players, they’ve got four or five guys who can get 20 points in a game.”
This comment from Lamar Odom, does the wording of that concern anyone? Lamar needs to have monster games, I dont like what he said, he didnt say anything about being ready for them.......just how good they are????
He has not had good games against the Nugs, albeit, he did not have Gasol to feed him for the 3 previous games...
Still I dont like the wording..... _________________ "And what is Rome Maximus?"

just contain ai. i hope kobe guards him the whole game. and i hope luke and vlad get in foul trouble so phil has to use newble. newble would guard melo while kobe guards ai. their offense would be shut down. thats the only way we can blow them out. and on the offense they hav no perimeter defender that can guard kobe. while kmart and camby double up gasol, odom will hav a field day. _________________

The analysts weigh in ...
MARK JACKSON:
| Quote: |
"One through 12, they are the deepest team in basketball," said ABC-ESPN commentator Mark Jackson, who Sunday will work Game 1 of the Lakers' first-round series against the Denver Nuggets with Mike Breen and fellow commentator Jeff Van Gundy.
"Certainly capable of winning it all, especially when you have the best player in the world," Jackson added. |
REGGIE MILLER:
| Quote: |
TNT's Reggie Miller, who will work Game 2 of the series Wednesday night with Marv Albert, says he believes the Lakers are title bound if Andrew Bynum is able to play.
"If he comes back and plays 12 minutes a game, averages six to eight rebounds and three blocked shots, they will win it, hands down," Miller said |
CHARLES BARKLEY:
| Quote: |
Maybe TNT's Charles Barkley is the voice of reason here. In between taping appearances for the Jay Leno show (he was on Wednesday night) and the Jimmy Kimmel show (he'll be on tonight), Barkley offered his opinions.
Of the Denver-Lakers series, he said: "It will be more competitive than people realize. I think Denver is dangerous. I think the Lakers will win this series, but it is going to be very difficult.
"Dallas would have been a better matchup. The Lakers are too big for Dallas."
Barkley also believes an NBA title will be difficult if Bynum is unable to play.
"I don't think they can win this thing without Bynum," he said. "They could. I would make them a prohibitive favorite if they had Bynum. They're one of the favorites without him."
Barkley said Bynum's development and the Pau Gasol trade are the keys to the Lakers' successful season.
"Remember when we stole everything from the Indians?" he said. "That's what it was like when the Lakers got Gasol for nobody." |
Apologies if this has been posted - I found the comments interesting for the most part. _________________

Having Bynum back would be great considering that he doesn't really score within the offense, but from offensive rebounds and put backs as well as easy little passes when he's open under the basket.
Its crazy to think how good Bynum will be when he's completely mastered all his post moves.
We need to keep this core for at least 8 years. |

Lol I don't see why a lot of people are scared. We have possibly the easiest route to the conference finals which can also lead to the easiest route to the finals.
we're most likely going to face two teams that we beat this year and last in the reg season with less talent.

No Nene for game 1
| Quote: |
Rocky Mountain News: Nuggets coach George Karl doesn't expect forward Nene, who missed the final six regular- season games because of a groin strain, to play in Game 1.
"George tells you. He knows my situation," said Nene, who isn't sure about Game 2.
At least Nene was encouraged with returning to practice Thursday and Friday, saying, "I feel better." Nene, who missed 2 1/2 months in the middle of the season because of testicular cancer, said that with a smile.
"I'm tired of crying too much," he said.
If Nene is inactive for Game 1, he likely would be replaced by swingman Bobby Jones. Jones said he suffered a minor ankle sprain this week but it wouldn't keep him from playing. |

1) depends how big the lead is
2) depends if the starters has shown Phil what he wants to see. If there is a blowout, he could use some of that time to work on areas of concern to prepare them for the next 3-4 games against the Nuggets. _________________

men, it will be nice if we can get some blowout games in this series, our starters need all the rest they can get and phill could also use the garbage time for our young guns get out all thier playoff nerves out the door _________________
