The Wichita Eagle: Junior guard Brandon Rush and sophomore forward Darrell Arthur, Kansas' top two leading scorers from its national championship team, will announce this afternoon that they are leaving early for the NBA Draft.
"Once the championship was over, Brandon knew it was time to go," Jeanette Jacobs, Rush's grandmother, said this morning. "It wasn't that hard of a decision for him."
Since Rush entered the draft last year before pulling out because he injured his knee, he would immediately lose his college eligibility. Arthur can still pull his name out before his draft and retain his eligibility, unless he hires an agent.
"He just wants to see where he falls in the draft before (hiring an agent)," Sandra Arthur, Darrell's mother, said this morning. "I'm very proud of him. He' worked very hard."
They will make their decisions official today at a 3:30 p.m. news conference.
Arthur and Rush are both projected to be selected in the lower half of the draft.
Rush led KU in scoring with 13.3 points. Arthur tied for second in scoring at 12.8 and was also second in rebounding at 6.3. |

I think Arthur is underrated, but I've seen him moving up to late lottery in recent mocks.

| i don't think he's underrated. i think the draft is just filled with so many hot big men prospects it makes it hard to distinguish yourself. |
