That was a fun game with some nervous moments folks...
- Kobe was ice freaking cold....that had to be one of the worst 32 pt games I've seen in a while. His jumper is just off....good news was that it wasn't the Nugget defense...he was just off.
- Pau is awesome....so is Lamar.
- I was scared for a moment that Lamar had managed to hurt his knee....turned out to be just a banged knee, not another sprained MCL (oh, please no)
- LOL @ at Diverson's flopping, crying and whining. He finally got his butt tossed...and right when there was just enough time to mount another last ditch run too. Punk...and a loser too.
- You had to laugh hard at Smith's flagrant on Luke...that's called turning the tables. Smith trying to D up Kobe was funny too. Another punk...
- I think Melo is happy with himself as long as he scores some points....apparently he doesn't really think he has to do anything else for the team. Anyone check out his big grin after scoring late. He looked content. Lakers will make you a happy camper, Melo. Biggest punk of them all.
Lastly, I'm happy we won, but the Laker defense has to tighten up, overall the defensive effort was good enough to win, but the Lakers need to improve on this area. _________________ Basketball isn't part of life, it is life.

It was good to see Lamar showing his amazing versatility: coast to coast layups, alley-oops, first touch passes and attacking to the rim effectively. And it was even better to see Gasol playing a monster game and winning his first play-off game. Kobe was...like trying to prove something (as if he needed that) during the first three quarters but finished strong. But i can't say that i could see the intensity we have witnessed in yesterday's games most of the time. I want to think that it was because of playing against Denver. They tried to make comebacks in the fourth quarter when we lost our concentration a bit, but these efforts proved to too weak to cope with us.
In short, congratulations to our team! We have 15 left in our way. Hopefully we will see a better defensive play in the second game ( and in the rest of the series), and advance to the next round in five games at most. _________________ Verba volant, scripta manent. |

This is the second time I've seen Ronny do this. The first time time was at the Dallas game. I thought it was maybe just a one time thing, but then today at the 6:20 mark in the 4th he was doing it again. Both times I was at the game and I started to wonder why he was doing it. Hopefully it's nothing, but it worries me. EVERYONE including a civilian clothed Coby was in the huddle, but Ronny was at the end of the bench. I wasn't close enough to see if he was pouting or not, but it didn't look good. |

There is seriously no words to describe how beautiful it was watching them play out there. It looked like showtime OMG I hope we get to see more of that because it would mean hitting 3 birds with 1 stone in the fact that we get:

Dominance
Entertainment

No dude I saw what you said and considering he's been caught what? 2 times in his CAREER not being with the team compared to all the attention he gets cheering his team and how much he stands out for it, there is no way he's a me first player. I'm positive it wasn't his ego that was the problem. _________________

I'm not going to disagree with you since there's really nothing to disagree about. However, his actions are inconsistent with what you're saying. It's this inconsistency that may or may not be a big concern. I hope it's nothing big. I like Ronny. I think the Lakers should resign him and he should stay a Laker for his whole career. So it's not like I'm trying to pick on him. And beyond what I've seen with my own two eyes at the games I have been at and witnessed, I can't say much. Not to put you on the spot or anything, but how do you know it's been only two times? |

Nuggets Coach George Karl
On Gasol tearing up the team:
“I don’t know if it was Gasol. I think the film will show it was the LA Lakers. I think Coby Karl could have scored the baskets.”

I know its early but Kobe having a mediocre game usually results in a loss...I say wow to this game...Denver must be feeling fear right about now, if they didn't before...
Odom and Pau combo was fantastic and beat the Nuggets by themselves imo...Kobe held them off in the 4th.
When Kobe plays his best I don't think we can be beaten...
Be wary of hard fouls in the next games... _________________ fortuna favet fortibus |
