First, welcome, second, try to use "2" a little bit less.
I think, that Lakers after Kobe will have to find a new identity. I hope some future superstar will come in future drafts to LA (I know we have Drew, but we need to see how he develops after this injury.) _________________

life after kobe???? Hmmm???.. Lamar odom has an expiring contract next year worth 14.5 mill which im sure will be a hot commodity....If kwami browns contract could help us land gasol this year, imagine what we could get in return 4 odoms next year. |

I can't and don't want to imagine Lakers without Kobe.
Bynum's gonna be dominant, but 1 star just doesn't cut it.
The only way I'll be satisfied after Kobe's retirement is if another good superstar comes to town. Not a boring steady player, I want a flashy, hollywood, highlight player. I would like a PG or an SG.
but Kobe will still be a top 10 player in 5 years. he can play for another 10 years. |

Life after KB24......
Not to worry we will have AB 17 and LBJ23 holding down the fort for the next 10 years
The Lakers with LeBron James and Andrew Bynum will continue to dominate the entire league. |

If Lebron come one day to the Lakers, we will be the most hated franchise in the NBA. Remember how everyone get mad with the Gasol trade !!
But maybe we are already the most hated franchise. Ask the refs |

| Let's focus on the present, Kobe is here now. we will worry about that when the time comes, and that is not soon... |

I like Chris Paul too, but LeBron James and Andrew Bynum, would be virtualy unstoppable. If Kobe took a paycut, and so did Lamar, the Lakers could offer James a max deal, and Trust me, with Kobe Bryant, Odom, Gasol, and a top 3 center in the league who will be 22, not to mention his game is tailor made for the LA market, he'd do it in a heartbeat.
This would allow Kobe to retire, and for us to NOT to be in the cellar for years(much like what happend with Magic Johnson when he retired).
James to Bynum....God let it happen

God Willing, we won't have to discuss this for around 12 years from now. |
