I am just wondering how there was no call on Labrons last layup when in the last series it would have been called before he even got to the paint? The officiating has been so inconsistant these playoffs its a tragedy.
I blame the Cav's loss on the King himself. Labron sat and dribbled at the top of the key with minimal movement at the end of the game and just hoisted random shots. This game was theirs for the taking and a loss by the Celtics would have destroyed their already fragile minds. Way to waste what Atlanta gave you Cleveland. _________________ You find me offensive?

LeBron severely lacked the "killer instinct" that Kobe & CP3 possess tonight. _________________ .

Horrible game for LeBron. Excellent defense from both teams though. Seriously, every team should be watching the videos of this game. Guys making their rotations. Hands in the face for every jumper. Great defense.
Might be boring for some, but I loved the defense. The offense was disgusting though. Both teams had no flow. LeBron's driving lanes were shut off, forcing him to the perimeter until maybe a few plays in the 4th. The same can be said about Boston, for they were forced to be a jump shooting team, with guys like Z blocking shots in the middle.
Praise defense!

At the same time, I don't expect Allen and Pierce to have bad games. If those guys are on track, it's going to be hard for the Cavs to win the series.
Unlike the Hawks, the Cavs don't have slashers who can drive to basket and make the game easier for themselves. It's Lebron and then a bunch of shooters which won't get the job done. _________________

| I enjoyed the defensive struggle towards the end of the game, but at the beginning it was just terrible, terrible offense. Limited passing, players not being able to hold on to the to ball, players missing open shots. Some of it is the defense, obviously, but this game should've been in the eighties, not the seventies. |

It was a good defensive game, aka a boring one. Both teams had trouble finding net. LeBron, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen should be depressed at their poor performances. If LeBron can play better in the next few games, I see the Cavs taking it. The Celtics are kind of worn out from the 7 game series so the Cavs have a energy advantage.
The Celtics aren't looking too good in the playoffs. _________________ "I'll do whatever it takes to win games, whether it's sitting on a bench waving a towel, handing a cup of water to a teammate, or hitting the game-winning shot. " - Kobe Bryant. |

| Lebron was flat out horrible last night but the cavs still almost pulled it out. The celtics still won after getting nothing form Ray and Paul. Both teams have reasons to be encouraged |

| I think Lebron should have gotten a call at the end also, Perkins tried to play D, got caught in the path of the train, couldn't get out of the way, and bumped Lebron pretty hard. That was actually a missed call, but the refs are known to swallow the whistle at the end of quarters/games. It sucks, I wish they would call blatant fouls even if it is end of quarters. |

Watching this 1st game shows me why I don't think Boston will be able to beat Detroit in a 7 game series. While Boston has great players, they have not played as a team in the playoffs, and sometimes it really shows. How can Paul Pierce and Ray Allen combine for 4 points? Turable. The Cavs didn't play that magnificent of defense for that to occur. Boston is taking this in 6. _________________ If we are all thinking alike, then nobody is thinking! |

Boston's resident alien with some interesting words ...
| Quote: |
The Boston Globe - Celtics guard Sam Cassell doesn't understand why the NBA is protecting Cleveland's LeBron James with favorable foul calls, according to The Boston Globe.
Cassell was called for a flagrant-1 foul during Game One on Tuesday after fouling James from behind during a layup attempt.
"Wow. It's just different right now," said Cassell Wednesday. "They gave me a flagrant-1 foul, and no way in the world was it a flagrant-1 foul. I'm going to call [NBA vice president] Stu [ Jackson] and see what he thinks about that. That's not a flagrant-1 foul at all. Back in the day, a flagrant-1 was bloodshed. Now, you can just grab somebody...It's the new NBA."
Cassell claims that James receives even more favorable attention than Michael Jordan did during his heyday.
"I know Jordan is sitting at home right now pouting because they didn't protect him. There wasn't no bigger star than him, and he took some banging. But he got through it. That's why he got considered the best player to pick up a basketball," Cassell added. |

I have always thought that Ilgauskas is one of the most underrated players in the league. Easily top five in that category.
And Lebron with a monster dunk! _________________ Verba volant, scripta manent. |

| Wow man, brings back memories of what I did once when I was playing, almost identical. My blood sugar dropped pretty quick, and I tried to get out of the game that same way, ended up laying on my back off the court. |

Van Gundy is cracking me up with his flopping policy, that stuff is genius. What he said about Tommy Heinson was also hilarious, 'he's so objective'. _________________ Weezy's Weemens

LBJ 3-13
Is anyone gonna tell him he's at his best when he attacks the basket. He's settling for long J's
I also don't like how he has to run the entire offense, get it to him with a chance to score, don't make him create the whole damned offense starting 92 feet away from the rim |
