Lebron is not this bad of a shooter, he clearly made improvements on his shot this yr, but these 1st two games remind me of his finals performance last yr.

He's knocked down some FT's but I'm pretty sure he has yet to hit a FG in this series

This is why I question people when they ever compare Lebron to Kobe right now!

Are we all aware that Kobe went 6-25 against this same team Lebron is facing?

God, LeBrick's shooting is as awful as Game 1.

Hope they can turn things around at home. Boston hasn't won a road playoff game this year.

You mean back to back games against the Celtics who arguably has the best defense in the league? Well Kobe hasn't had the oppurtunity yet.

Almost a repeat:
trodgers wrote:
What's the most pathetic number from this game?

1. LeBron's pts/to ratio: 21/7
2. Ray Allen's 16 points in 37 minutes
3. 41 total points was the most pts scored in a quarter combined
4. 162 total points in the game
5. Big Three combine for 48 points, 9 assists, 19 boards, 6 TO
6. All shooters combined to go 5-27 on 3pt shots

Two game averages:
Allen 37 minutes, 8 pts, 2 assists, 2.5 boards
Pierce 31.5 minutes, 11.5 pts, 5.5 boards, 3 assists
James 8-42 shooting, 16.5 points, 7 boards, 7.5 assists, 8.5 turnovers

Ugly.

this is eerily similar to last year ...Detroit got cocky and overconfident and they blew it

Boston is arrogant like that too and can get overconfident and complacent. They can't win on the road...lets see how this unfolds

Maybe someone's forgetting the Detroit series in the Finals:
FGs, pts, ast, reb, TO
10/27 25 4 4 3
14/27 33 7 4 5
4/13 11 5 3 4
8/25 20 2 0 3
7/21 24 4 3 3

43/113 on FGs (38% FGs), 22.6 points, 4.4 assists, 2.8 boards, 3.6 turnovers

Well, they were 31-10 during the regular season, best in the NBA.

Anybody ever wonder with the frame Lebron has, why he doesn't have a post up game. I imagine it would help him considerably at this point if he did have one.

But pierce play very well today, excellent defence and attack on lebron well chosen shots and playing good 1vs1. In the best of Boston today with Posey.

Defending Boston is amazing, whit Spurs, is a rival from Lakers for style. If Boston defends with such intensity, Lakers scoring only reading and giving balloons to Kobe on mission impossible. hurl

Kobe's worst totals in back to back games in that series was 15/46 with 6 turnovers. In two games Lebron is 8/42 with 17 turnovers. Not only that, but Kobe got tons of crap for that series, so we're completely validated for criticizing Lebron when he puts up horrible, horrible numbers.

^ Easy, dude. The suggestion that Kobe has not had back to back bad games at a high level of competition is just false. He was pretty bad in the Detroit series. Yes, James is having an atrocious two games, but until the series is over, you can't say things like, "That's the difference between Kobe and James." James doesn't have Shaq on his team either.

I wasn't the one to say that. There are lots of differences between Bryant and James, but I don't think Lebron's having two bad games in a row is one of them. Comparing any two games in Kobe's Detroit series, which was horrible in its own right, to Lebron's first two in the Boston series is a little far fetched though. Straight up, Kobe played bad. He shot the ball horribly, he wasn't finding teammates, and he was forcing the issue. Lebron's FG% in the first two games of the series has been worse than any other players in the last 60 years in the opening two games of a playoff series. Add 17 turnovers to that 8/42 and you can understand the criticism.

Lebron is playing historically awful

His 19% fg pct for 2 games with a minimum of 30 attempts is 4th worst all time for the first 2 games of a series

And hasn't been worse by any player for 60 YEARS! Wow

I didn't recognize a SINGLE name on this list.

I hope he breaks out of this slump for the sake of an interesting series.

Celts are just giving Lebron the open 20 FT jumper. He just can't hit the side of a barn right now. They are forcing Lebron to drive the lane against 2-3 defenders.

Until Lebron starts to hit the open J, I don't see how he can right the ship. Celts are smartly taking away his bread and butter, the drive to the rim.
