Not a household name, but rap fans know who she is. Crazy story about Papoose showing up with handcuff key.

Remy Ma has been sentenced to eight years in prison in the shooting a woman outside a Manhattan nightclub.
The state Supreme Court sentence was handed Tuesday to the 26-year-old rapper, whose real name is Remy Smith, for assault, weapon possession and attempted coercion.

Remy Ma, who could have faced up to 25 years in prison, was teary-eyed as she heard the sentence.

She says last summer's shooting was an accident; an appeal is planned.

Correction officials say they called off her weekend wedding at the Rikers Island jail after the groom — fellow rapper Papoose — showed up with a handcuff key.

Remy Ma's lawyer, Ivan Fisher, denies the key could be used to unlock handcuffs. Papoose isn't charged.

Fisher says the two still plan to wed.

Why wasn't Papoose charged and locked up?

He had alot of hype when he first started to get popular. Since he's started to work on his album and stopped putting out so many mixtapes, we don't hear from him much anymore unless he's getting his chain snatched or something to do with Remy.

He has alot of punchlines, sometimes they are swing and a miss and sometimes they hit just beautifully.

Remy is a joke. But Pap is sick, he can spit. Listen to Alphabetical Slaughter, Drop It feat Busta Rhymes, Where it started feat feat Talib, Dion, Hi-tek, and Raekwon. He is a sick lyricist when he puts his mind to it, I dont know why Fat Joe is starting **** with him, Papoose would wipe the floor with him
