Wow, Gasol definitely fouls okur on that putback

Okur sells it more than there was. The refs were letting A TON of contact underneath the basket go down the stretch on both ends of the floor.

Yup. He felt a hand in his back and lunged forward. Neither him, Boozer nor AK complain about the "none call." And we did get some calls, but being physical under the basket when fighting for rebounds has been allowed for the most part in the series. You know you probably complain too much if you're trying to sell the idea that Pau is pushing around your big men on the inside.

This.

yeah that about sums it up. Okur should have attempted to get the rebound, not that I care lol

Funny thing about all this is usually I hate the team the Lakers are playing by the end of the series, but not so this time.

I have no more animosity for the Jazz than any other team in the NBA (not named The Suns, The Celtics, or the Queens), but what will make this victory sweet is stuffing it down these moronic, classless, ignorant Jazzholes (thank you Pound bow ) throats. The way they act is beyond disgusting and they will never deserve to bask in the glory of a championship while they single handedly reduce the level of respect for the NBA as a whole.

^^^ i think the reason is it has been a really clean series, relatively speaking

i mean boozer grabbing jerseys and putting hands on the back during rebounds is something the Jazz ALWAYS do, it isn't really dirty, the refs just don't call it

there hasn't been dirty fouls on both sides and they both seem to hold a lot of respect for each other, doesn't seem to be as much trash-talking like in the denver series as well, just some good basketball action

for example, other teams have guys like raja/bowen that do goofy things, and it makes it very easy to hate the other team

Is it just this one gif or does boozer seem to grab odoms jersey on every play...

Boozer shoves and grabs on EVERY play...its ridiculous..of course Jizz fans won't complain about that...but whine about Gasol shoving Memo...gimme a break man8

here's a better .gif of the play

In this one you see Pau go up for the board with two hands. Everyone try lifting your arm up while pushing someone forward. Yes he has his arm on Okur's back, but when the rebound comes he goes up with two hands, I don't get how he could push Okur forward by lifting up his arm.

What I find "most" interesting in that play is that if Pau "does" push, he pushes from the TOP of Okur's back DOWNWARD, yet somehow propels Okur UPWARD.

Pau Gasol... defyin' the laws of physics!

true, the only questionable thing in this series on both sides are the refs and the fans , the Jazz team haven't hurt our guys and theres been no trash talking

The Jazz lost game 5, the lakers didnt win

Yeah, some poor officiating gave some points to the lakers, but i'll be the first to admit that the jazz lost that game last night. Too many opportunities to take the lead from the lakers went the wrong way. Maybe it would have only been a couple point lead, but it would have been huge for the mental part of the game for the Jazz. To actually know they can lead the lakers in LA, would be a huge boost for the young team i think.

Jazz got a huge uphill battle now. Go Jazz, destroy the Lakers in game 6 and take it back to LA LA land for game 7. What a series eh

Their whole team flops, just some more than others, particularly Harpring obviously. He initiates the contact and then falls, thus in most unfortunate cases, getting the refs to make a call on his favor based on reaction. freak2 That's what Jerry Sloan preaches to his whole team more than any other overall in the league. & the crazy fans & noise in utah homecourt advantage thing is overrated imo. More than anything, the referees tend to usually let them play their type of game more at home, ala getting away with more crap, their flops, pushing, over the back, ticky tack calls against the opposition, etc. If we play at the same exact level of physicality as the Jazz or close, for us, we'll accumulate more fouls, but them not so much. More ticky tacks against us & etc, but the one guy who benefits the most based on how the referees handle/officiate him at the home as compared to the road is by far Boozer, at least in this series, that's for sure. Most of the pushes, pulling of the jersey, & over the backs he does, he'll get away with at home for the most part, it's complete BS.

Unfortunately with Bynum back next season, the Lakers will be tough to compete with. This was our golden opportunity and we blew it. Hmm, maybe Fes can turn into something good for us.

2) Boozer should be Millsap sub
3) Jazz need a real center
4) One of Boozer/Kirilenko should be traded (guess: who I want out of SLC?)
5) Jazz need kind of a thug player
6) Boozer's the easier player to replace
7) Boozer's a [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.]
Boozer will not give us a ring
9) DWill's darn good, but has to stop walking the court when his team is 15+ points down, and has to learn to not collapse the offense yoyoing too much into the paint
10) Why on earth Millsap is not an inch and a half taller?
11) DWill is not a max player yet
12) Boozer is useless for big games
13) Brewer is good enough for the Jazz to develop some mid-range plays different from the "curl" one and only
14) I thought the Jazz were a pick and roll type of team... until tonight

I would like to congratulate the NBA refs for beating the Utah Jazz in six.

They worked hard to make sure when Kobe was running people over and Gasol was pushing off, they only called the fouls on Utah in crunch time.

Excellent job.

Look forward to seeing how the refs prepare for the Western Conference Finals.
