Before the FInals, the Pittsburgh Penguins were in the Stanley Cup Finals vs a veteran Redwings. The Redwings proved that there were not only tougher, but the youth of the Penguins just couldn't match up with the savvy of the Wings. Although the Pens were outmatched, they battled and battled winning the respect of the Pittsburgh fans even in defeat. Though we lost the series, the city celebrated like we won because of their effort.

I wish I could say the same about this Lakers team. What a completely pathetic performance we put forth in this NBA Finals. There are probably a lot of people who are just sports fans that only tuned in to watch the Finals and saw a lackluster, soft Laker team who showed no heart, even looking intimidated by the Celtics.

The Lakers did have one serious battle. We have an ongoing battle of which one of our big 3 is going to put up a more pathetic performance in the Finals. Out of Kobe, Pau, and Odom; the three of them have been equally as bad.

I have never, ever bashed Kobe as a Laker fan but he's been dreadful in the Finals. I thought of him as a guy who could never be rattled and would step up to any challenge, but the Celtics have obviously gotten into his head. For the first time since his rookie season, I see a Kobe who is not only confused but is doubting himself.

As excited as I was that they reached the FInals, I now wish they never made it. It's not just the fact they are losing on the biggest stage in basketball, it's the fashion in which they are doing so. The effort and teamwork we saw vs the Jazz and Spurs is gone. Instead that success has been replaced with a number of core players who are crumbling under the pressure of the big stage they are on.

Oh, and who would of thought Phil Jackson would be outcoached by Doc Rivers??? I certainly couldn't see that one coming. While Phil will continue to throw in players like Radmanovic, Turiaf, Walton, and even Odom while they struggle; Rivers took a chance with House and it paid off big time.

MESSAGE TO TURIAF AND RAD MAN: KILL YOURSELVES!!
