I'm just blown away by seeing Westbrook considered so high. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy. He was my favorite player at UCLA. He is truly the "freak" athletic guard in this draft, a great defender, can blaze to the hole and the scouts love the form on his jumpshot, which just needs more practice.
When you see Howland recruiting great, athletic players, but still running an offense as if he were coaching Princeton, it's amazing that guys like Westbrook can shine through. I'm very happy for Russell. I would have loved to see him in purple and gold. _________________
