Just wondering, is he going to get surgery? Is there any news about this? I remember hearing somewhere that part of the reason why Luke struggled so much this season was because he was injured, and instead of getting surgery during the season, he decided to put it off and play through the pain. So is he gonna get it anytime soon? Just wondering because I've heard no news about this.

Same with D-Fish. Doesn't he need surgery on his foot?

I think I remember hearing that D-Fish tore a tendon in his foot but played through it the rest of the year. Is this the injury that required surgery?

Luke's injury is one where he just needs rest and time off for it to heal properly.

When he sat out how ever many games he missed late in the season (don't feel like wasting my time looking up a stat on a bum), he came back and was rejuvenated for a few games.

So an entire summer should do the trick.

Then he just has to worry about the other slew of problems he has:
1) Sucking
2) Being slower than a turtle
3) Being allergic to D

I stand corrected. I knew it was a tendon injury and thought I remembered hearing it was his knee as it affected his lateral movement.

Mar. 30, 2008 - 4:15 a.m. ET
Derek Fisher attended but did not participate in the Laker's scrimmage on Saturday because of a partially torn tendon in his right foot. He is going to play through the injury, but might not practice again this season.

Mar. 28, 2008 - 9:18 p.m. ET
Lakers point guard Derek Fisher has a partial tear in a tendon in his right foot -- an injury that typically requires six to eight weeks of rest -- but he plans on playing through the pain this season.

Mar. 26, 2008 - 10:51 a.m. ET
Derek Fisher skipped practice on Tuesday due to a bruised knee he sustained on Monday night.

puke walton is gonna prove you wrong. he is working on his turn around fade away jumper that he has a 5inch verticle on & gets blocked all the time. that shot is gonna be money this season.

Luke Walton's only injury is his Basketball skills.

I know you were just joking but IIRC, that shot WAS money during the 06 playoffs and before he got injured in 07.

Luke is scheduled for a lobotomy.

Mitch should follow soon for offering up that ridiculous contract w/out even bothering to gauge how the market would price the guy prior to doing the deal.

Ughhh I hope this guy turns it around to at least 2006-2007. We won't be as miserable if he does. Fat chance of that.

When I hear all these injuries it just makes me sad to think how magical it would have been if we won it all.
