I really don't care what it cost. Every player loves Ronny. Laker management loves Ronny. The fans love Ronny. He is the guy in the locker room that keeps the spirit going. He is the guy dancing on the sidelines when a big play is made. He is the guy who bears his soul and gives his heart on the court. You just can not buy a guy like Ronny Turiaf. He is a gift from heaven. Pay the man, keep him, hold him, cherish him, he is a Laker with a capital L. I hear that many fans are calling Laker headquarters begging this team not to let him go. You should call to. Call today at 310-426 6000. Ask for Mitch Kupchak's office. Let yourself be heard. Tomorrow will be to late. Support Ronny, he really doesn't want to leave.

Champ Kind: We need you. Hell, I need you. I'm a mess without you. I miss you so damn much. I miss being with you, I miss being near you. I miss your laugh. I miss your scent; I miss your musk. When this all gets sorted out, I think you and me should get an apartment together.
Brian Fantana: Take it easy, Champ. Why don't you sit this next one out, stop talking for a while. _________________ * L.A. Lakers * N.Y. Giants * FSU Seminoles *

| Well, I didn't understand that last post, some guy from Florida, but we need 1000 fans to call the Lakers headquarters today. I have posted this appeal on other Lakers sites. If you love Ronny, Call, its easy, Lakers headquarters, ask for Mitch's office. 310-426 6031. |

| When you are a restriced free agent and your team tenders you, you then go out and look for the best offer you can and see if your old team will match. That's they way the system works. If you don't play, you don't get paid. Ronny didn't set up the rules of how things work. Thousands of restricted FA's have gone through this process. Sometimes they go to their new teams, sometimes they stay. If you want Ronny to stay, then call. |

If you really cared about what's best for Ronny, you would let him leave to a team where he'd get more playing time and grow as a player. I love his energy and cheerleading, but he isn't going to get much time on the court here. _________________

Ronny was one of my favorite Lakers. But 17 million is way too much for a back up. Bye bye Ronny. _________________

| Ronny get 18 minutes per game with the Lakers. He will not start with the Warriors. He will be behind Biedrins and others at Golden State. In fact, he could end up playing less. I don't see how that helps to go somewhere to play less and be on a lottery team. Or stay with the Lakers, play more, and play for a championship team. |

| VladRad 6.5 Mil, Luke Walton 5 Mil, and both will be coming off the bench this year. Ronny's production per minute is actually higher than these two guys and we pay them more. Why are you guys not calling for us to dump one of these guys whose shooting percentage is even lower than Ronny's as well. Well, the reason that we keep them all is that a deep bench contributes to winning a championship. If AB, Gasol, Kobe, Lamar, Fish, gets hurt and are gone for the season, who is going to play? |

The off season is far from done, so the Lakers will find someone to replace Ronny. As for us not calling for Walton and Radman to be dumped, you dont come to CL often do you? _________________

| They have until midnight tonight to match. Ronny's numbers projected over 40 minuts are 14 PPG, 9 RPG, 47% shooting, and 3 BLOCKS. In fact NBA.com says that Ronny is 2nd best in the league in Blocks per minute played. 2nd best in the league. Guys who are putting up these kind of numbers per 40 minutes are asking for 10-12 Mil, not 4Mil. Call Now 310 426-6000 ask for Mitch, leave a voicemail. |

exactly, besides only the front office knows what the long and short term plans are for this team. RT made a decission he knew it was to much for the Lakers to match. If he wanted to stay with LA he could have told the front office what the GSW was offering and see what LA could come up with instead he signed the sheet and put LA in a "its him or me" type corner. Oh well, RT gets paid and we move on.............. NEXT _________________ I "act" for free they pay me to wait. |

i would take turiaf over those 2 any day but fact is, we hav a limited amount of money we can spend this offseason and we need to spend it on someone more important (like vujacic). even if we dumped those 2, were still over the cap and we can only offer the MLE (about 5 mil) this offseason (NOT to multiple players...thats combined). havent u ever played nba live or 2k8? lol |

look, those numbers are irrelevant
playoff averages
2.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 2.2 fouls...
PERIOD. In the finals he grabbed a total of 4 rebounds...FOUR effin rebounds in 6 games. He grabbed 27 rebounds in the entire playoffs (almost 200 minutes of playing time)...Duncan or Howard do that in one game. You don't think we can find vet. min. player that matches..hell exceeds those numbers and doesn't cost 9 mio. annually?
BTW, you need to understand the Lakers helped him when everybody would have tried to get shot of him...we drafted him, we paid for his surgery, we gave him a family and support and we believed in him. Seriously, he has to thank the Lakers everything...after all HIS LIFE probably. Without our medical care maybe they wouldn't even notice about his heart issues.
And then...Ronny just signs an offer sheet and goes away, thats not exactly a nice way...its BUSINESS after all tho. I'm not really mad at Ronny because of his disloyalty...its a business but if anyone complains about the Lakers decision to not match, well I will take care of him. _________________

If you can deposit 8m into Jerry Buss' account then I'm sure he'll snatch'm up right now.
Oops, better double that for luxary taxes. |

Word on the street is that Mitch wants to keep Ronny, but his hands are tied as Buss doesn't want the luxury tax hit.
Which begs the question: How much did the Lakers think it was going to cost to keep either of the two RFAs? _________________ Basketball isn't part of life, it is life.

Waaah! Waaah! Waah!
The poster who wrote about Ronny's rebounding during the playoffs hit it on the nose. 4 rebounds in 6 games against the Celtics, I remember watching Ronny then and that was such an atrocious performance on the boards. He was outfought, outhustled, outwhatevered. Sheesh! Yes I love his cheerleading on the bench. But not at this price tag.
If Ronny had played better in the playoffs, especially against the Celtics, this would be a much tougher decision than it is. And indeed, he would have received higher offers. The fact is, in this day and age of overpaid big men, Ronny couldn't get an offer in their price range. What is that telling you?
Since the Lakers lost in the Finals, Mitch needs a bit more freedom from committed roster slots to explore improvements that will hopefully get the Lakers over the top. Once the Lakers win it all and the roster looks pretty much set, then Buss will open his wallet to keep the team together. |

Not sure what you're upset about....but is it comforting to you that a worthless scrub like Luke, who makes more money and produces less than Ronny, gets to stay while Ronny packs his bags?
