Here's what I think KE:

"how about making a new place or new forum or new something commemorating the retired club laker members like Reddy.."

I wouldn't mind a retired members page... but not a whole forum.

"or a Forum to say who is who and what does what and the a seperate category for the Veterans..."

Well, most people know the Veterans, and it says the date we joined on the bottom of our name. As for who does what, that's on the bottom of our names also... I guess we could have a Staff List page... if it's really necessary...

"and have a retired section for Ol' Red. ill make the jpg jersey if u guys want....."

I don't know about a whole section for one member... but we could have a retired members page like you said before. You're more than welcome to make a JPG jersey of Reddy...

What does everyone else think about this?

Why don't you PM Reddy and ask him what # he wants... maybe he may want the # he registered at (#04).

You might wanna PM Shaq-34 also.

Yea... if any numbers are gona be retired, it should be their registration number. And I dont think anything should be done yet with that section, if it's gonna be created. Cuz then if we start a section, members would wanna retire, u know? I think if anything is gonna be done, then have it when 4 or more members finally retire as Clublakers Vets... I also think that if we should define what constitutes a "Clublakers Vet"... Not just any members, but the ones who been here the longest and contribute continuasly to the site, like how Reddy did.

yeah.. i like the idea. but we dont have to rush yet cuz we only hav one veteran that retired. actually 2 if shaq34 is considered one too.
and i dont think a forum is needed. we can give each retiree a page or two abt them and we can quote on what we remember abt them. a bunch of tributes to them... but i think we should keep it stable on it being a remembrance of them.

but what if the member hasnt been here that long but has a bunch of posts? are they considered a veteran? i think as long as they were majority of meaningful posts.

if its by date, as of now veterans are the 1st hundred members i guess...

hmmm... what would i go under? i have two registrations.....

clublakers is planning to put up a staff page on the site. I'm sure on the page, he could add something for a rememberance of members or something... I dunno, we don't need a whole forum (Waste of space) but a page on the site sounds like a good idea.

No, I'm sure he'll come back someday... I actually saw him logged on in the forums for a minute the other day, then he left I guess. I think he'll be back in due time.

I second that Hall of Fame idea!!!

Do you have to be retired to be in the Hall of Fame or can you still post when you are in it???

They retired for a reason, why make a section to talk about them?

The same reason why players are retired... In the books they're always mentioned as the greats and the legends of the game. Compare
