Here we go... just for entertainment and imaginery purposes only. No need to tell me pipe or won't happen, I already know!

KG demands trade to LA after 9 years of frustration in Minnesota. Doesn't like that they fired their coach and have an old roster... in 10 years in Minny, he's been past the first round only once and wants to win.

Lakers trade Lamar Odom, Devean George, Brian Cook, and Miami's 1st round pick for Kevin Garnett. (salaries match).

On the same day, Lakers trade Butler, Vlade, Atkins and S&T Luke Walton or Sasha for Raja Bell & Carlos Boozer. (possibly a 2007 1st rounder to UTH)

Lakers sign Antonio Daniels with the MLE. Lakers re-sign Vlade with the Vet's min.

Lakers draft Raymond Felton or Jarret Jack.

ROSTER-- In the triangle

Bell/Felton.
Bryant/Daniels
Garnett/Jones
Boozer/BG/Slava
Mihm/Vlade

Sasha or Walton would also be on this roster. Lakers would still need to sign a player or two to the LLE or vet's min.

trade lottto, trade exception, cook, vlade, atkins for boozer

utah can then trade up for the first using both our pick and their pick for the first so they can draft andrew bogut and get cap space back

trade caron, mihm, cash, future miami first for magloire, brown

trade george, med, 2nd fir bender, first

MLE-Bobby Jackson
LLE-vlade after buyout

draft jarret jack and stoudamire

Magloire/Divac/Douhit
Boozer/Brown/Bender
Odom/Walton/Jones
BryantStoudamire/Bobbitt
Jackson/Jack/Vujacic

What if we trade the deal of Feb: Caron, Deavean and Divac for Boozer. Then we trade Boozer and Odom and some players to match the contracts for KG?

Here's a proposal to get KG

LAKERS trades

Grant (14.5 mil)
Odom (11.5 mil)
George (4.5 mil)
Cook (0.9 mil)

Total 31.4 mil

T-WOLVEStrades

KG (18 mil)
Cassell (6.1 mil)
Hassel (3.9 mil)

Total 28 mil

CLIPPERS trades

Brand (13.1 mil)
Maggette(6.7)
Wilcox (2.8 mil
Jaric (4 mil) (sign and trade)

Total 26.6 mil

LAKERS Receives

KG (18 mil)
Maggette(11.5 mil)
Jaric (4 mil) (sign and trade)

Total 28.7 mil

T-WOLVES Receives

Brand (13.1 mil)
Odom (11.5 mil)
Wilcox (4.5 mil)
Cook (0.9 mil)

Total 28.3 mil

CLIPPERS Receives
Cassell (6.1 mil)
Grant (14.5 mil)
Hassel (3.9 mil)
George (4.5 mil)
Lakers's future #1
Minnesota 's #1

Total 29 mil

All this assumes The cheap donald do not want to be stuck with 5 more years of big contracts in maggette and brand and miss the playoffs. He'll still get the 2 #1's the wolves and the lakers throw his way. Since the lakers will save about 2.5 mil in salary they can give him cash also. Grant will be next year's kittle. The only long term is hassel ( 4 year) Cassell can back up Livingston or vice versa. George will take ove Simmon's spot. He'll probably sign somewhere else for 5+ mil long term. Minnesota gets fair exchange for KG. We get the return of the dynamic dual.

Of course all this is pipe territory but it seems fair and doable. Just have to convince Sterling it's money in his bank.

how about something like

Lamar Odom
Vlade Divac
Chucky Atkins

for

Steve Francis
Kelvin Cato

either odom or butler is going to be shipped out this offseason it would appear, divac is expiring for orlando, and chucky could get sent back to his first team...francis has been unhappy and cato could be a legit 4 for us...even tho francis may hog the ball a little much (understatement) with phil here he could learn some dicipline and dish it even more (already avgs 7 apg)

why orlando does it:
howard proved he has toughness, can play C in the east, and with odom and hill in the frontcourt along with him orlando becomes pretty damn good...they can keep going small ball with chucky and jameer which could be successful considering chucky is really a sg

Lakers:
Stevie
Kobe
Caron
Cato
Mihm

Magic:
Nelson
Atkins
Hill
Odom
Howard

Once Phil gains his ownership, he should fulfill his quest of trading Kobe.
