their D isn't great, but that's because they aren't used to playing with each other, and aren't communicating very well, once they work on that, which I know Phil will make them at practice, then they will be unstoppable

Oh don't get me wrong, I don't care about it either, but I feel they have a good chance of breaking and or tieing it.

I dunno, as long as it doesn't fade them for the playoffs, I'd love to see them go for the record jam2

Oh yes. I've always felt Fisher has been one of the most toughest and underated guards in the entire NBA.

Oh man.

Nice steal and over the head pass by Fisher at the half court while sitting down to Shaq.

Shaq ruined the highlight of the game with the brick on the dunk. freak2

The Lakers are down by 8, and Kobe Bryant just came in. A little surprising...

Can we just cut our losses and get rid of Pargo already?

This turn over machine plays worse matador defense than Jason Williams.

if Phil is trying to get a win, then he should have put Kobe in a bit sooner, so he could warm up, Kobe is cold, and has been sitting too long

Oh wow... Did you just see Kobe react to those defenders?!?! Through the legs, behind the back, and the pass to Payton. Then the throwdown by O'Neal.

BryantDunkGiant! You need to upload that as a clip... Wow! man4

well i dont see why we would upload anything

we just lost to the damn clippers

i dont care if this is preseason or not

it hurts seein us lose and kobe didnt play good in tha 2nd half

looks like we jinxed ourselves...

what the hell it seemed like we were killing them, but somehow the clippers stayed with us tah whole night...and why were they so excited at tha end its [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] PRESEASON god i cant wait til tha season starts when the lakers ACTUALLY play...

why are we gettin outrebounded by every team? we got out rebounded by 19 tonight and we have shaq and malone controlling the paint...this is not good...and we let the point guards get waaay too many wide open looks and wide open drives to the lane...i hate this...its frustrating seein the lakers lose to crap teams

Okay...I'm disappointed in the loss...I won't lie. Let me try to explain how this happened. Shaq is not Shaq and we will see the Shaq I'm talking about once the 28th comes around. That can only explain the second chance points of all those damn offensive rebounds. I also feel that Malone is a little lost in the offense, but he's a real smart player and will figure out his spots on the floor. Once that happens, him and Shaq can have great high post low post game and he will contribute to more defensive rebounds.

Also something I noticed, is that our defense needs alot of tweaking. I'm real happy about the offense, but the defense can be way more tenacious then what I saw tonight. Granted they are the Clippers, but still the Lakers forced alot of turnovers....those weren't bad plays on the Clippers part....that was real intense D on the Lakers part. But it can get way better. Kobe and Devean blew alot of coverages which led to Shaq getting some cheap fouls.

Now for the positives....we ran the hell out of our team. We are gonna be up and down this year and that is going to be exciting. There were several trips down the court that when the Lakers were set up in their half court sets, the ball didn't hit the floor once leading to either open jumpers or Shaq throwing in a lot of gimmes, but with no avail.

Bottom line: Our starters will kill any starting 5 in the league and when that chemistry kicks in which I give till Mid December...we are going to see something special folks. There was balanced scoring and statistically the Lakers were gold besides the 2nd chance points they gave up. I'm excited for this team and we are for real. I'm not guaranteeing a flawless record immediately. I am however guaranteeing that this squad will threaten that Bulls record and will set the standard for the NBA this season.

I can't believe we lost! With Kobe in the line-up we should have done things a lil' different. We settled for jumpers instead of takin it in, and when we did take it in, we either missed the shot, or we turned it over. I'm impressed with the fact that we did look good out there, but we just didn't get the job done. With time running down we did manage to stop the Clippers with impressive D.. Now why can't we play like that all 48 mins? At least we had balanced scoring from our Fab Four, and Devean. We had a pretty decent amount of stops on the defensive end, but not enough. This has got be the the toughest preseason loss.

He had no D. Shaq was playing D but then he got in foul trouble and had to sit out for a while.
