The Kings just recently acquired Shareef Abdur-Rahim in a multi-year contract. They also have Kenny Thomas and Corliss Williamson, so their power forward position is pretty much full.
I have seen this guy play several times on tv and against the Lakers, he is a solid player, good offensive skills, decent on the defensive end. The Lakers could get him for cheap, not too many people have jumped to try to acquire him. He can be a very solid back-up to Kwame Brown.
The chances of us getting an "impact" big man are slimming down, and Songalia could sign for 2 years as well. He is a good addition to the team, and he is an upgrade from the declining Brian Grant that we used to have. _________________ SNUBBED? I like him a lot...If we can get him for a 2 year deal, then i think Mitch should go for it. He is very consistent from the mid-range, and is a good rebounder, who hustles for every board
Also good friends w/ Divac Hopefully Floppy can help us lure him here
so we can move Kwame to center and have Song at the 4 on road games since Mihm never shows up then anyways _________________ I SUPPORT THE WHOLE LAKER TEAM NOT JUST CERTAIN PLAYERS: (pm to join) slimjim, Realm of Shadows, KareemTheGreat33, Bballgirl85, DMK, strategos, Kobe#2, Kob3eight, jellyroll49, LALShowtime, Genius GZA, Shooter871, Juronimo |

| he's just a tall small forward. He played 20 min. last season and couldn't average a block per game. We need players that are hungry on defense. I think that the scoring part would be no problem for him and i also believe that he does room for improvement, but I really don't see him becoming a defensive minded pf. We need a Rodman. Not a scorer. We have enough of those. |

I liked what I saw when I watched him play. Seemed like a high energy guy off of the bench. _________________ She was fevered.

He's good IMO but not much better or more effective than Brian Cook. AT least not when we have Cookie and Slava. _________________

He's a very respectable player, but will only amount to a role player because his basketball IQ outweighs his physical/athletic abilities, and that's not exactly an appreciated thing in the league. He tries hard all over the court, hustles, etc...but only got so far with Sacramento...he was at times a deficiency with his lack of height and athleticism guarding better players. He does have a nice offensive game, from mid-range and around the painted area, though, very finesse, and that's what's keeping him in the league. Very average rebounder, better at the offensive glass. Overall just not a good fit because he's a 3-4 tweener, too small to play PF and too slow for SF, he his offensive-oriented and lacks the defense we need, and probably is just another version of Slava Medvedenko for us. I'll pass. _________________ Possible FA Swingmen/PGs: Derek Anderson, Dahntay Jones, Troy Hudson, Anthony Carter, Voshon Lenard, Hassan Adams, Milt Palacio, Jumaine Jones, Donta Smith, Qyntel Woods, Sasha Pavlovic, Devin Brown, James White Others of interest: Keith Van Horn, Anderson Varejao, Mike Sweetney, Brian Skinner, Zarko Cabarkapa, Chris Taft, PJ Brown, Chris Webber, Chris Andersen |

He is a better backup than Cook and Slava and I really would like his addition but only for a trade for one of the fab four (Sasha, Slava, George, Cook) _________________

at this point, i'll take anyone over slava. songaila is decent, but i'd rather have a draft pick in return for slava, rather than songaila.
kobes the star of la and shoots a alot of shots. imagine how many shots slava would take if he was the star on a team!!! wow, he and AI would be in the runnings for most FG attempts. _________________ KOBE + BYNUM & TURIAF + GOOD PG = SELL OUT CROWD! BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS LA! |

Songaila is a pretty decent role player, I'll give him that. But when we have Cook and Slava, his talent doesn't exactly soar above our forwards, so his insignificance is obvious. Songaila? Not worth it. _________________

Kings would like to keep him and Chicago would also like to lure him. He is a solid backup. _________________

I DO NOT LIKE THIS KID...
Personally.
That being said, i wouldnt be angry if we landed him... i just simply dislike him on a personal level VERY MUCH.
I doubt we even come close to landing him, however...as i said before... i wouldnt be angry. _________________
