|
|
Welcome to the CL.com 2005-2006 Good Call season!
Thanks to our very own member mandingo we have a brand new automated Good Call system.
Seriously, give him a "pat on the back" because he really worked hard to get create this automated system and get it up and running. Without him this wouldn't be possible.
A big thanks also goes out to Realm of Shadows and our Good Call Stats Team for manually calculating these numbers previously.
We're still trying to perfect any imperfections there are with this automated system and integrate it into the forums, so joining Good Call is appreciated.
Make sure you read the following instructions carefully before playing! They're simple to follow, but important.
-When registering your username, sign up using your exact same username on ClubLakers.com. This means same spacing, capitalization, spelling, etc. Any username that violates this unfortunately will be deleted from the database.
-If you do not have an account at ClubLakers your username will also be deleted. You must be a registered member of the forums to play.
-If you need to edit your pick before tip-off, don't register for a new account. You can always edit your pick by clicking on the "Next Game" tab. Through there, you will be able to click on a link and edit your game.
-If there are any problems with the system (technically, visually, etc.) please report them in this forum and/or contact mandingo or myself (BryantDunkGiant) via PM.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU USE THE SAME PASSWORD AS YOUR CLUBLAKERS ACCOUNT WHEN REGISTERING.
As you know, the Good Call Pre-Season Edition is a separate contest from the one in the regular season. Your score will be a cumulative sum of your guesses throughout the pre-season and will not count toward your regular season score.
We will begin with Tuesday's game against the Golden State Warriors, tipping off at 10 PM PST.
Have fun and good luck making the Good Call!

I encourage everyone to participate. We need your help! Although there should be very few kinks in the system, they will undoubtedly be there. Feel free to hit me up on AIM as well. LakersForLife.
Let's get this thing rocking and continue our quest to make clublakers.com the number one Lakers site on the net! _________________ I bleed purple and sweat gold, don't ever question that.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU USE THE SAME PASSWORD AS YOUR CLUBLAKERS ACCOUNT WHEN REGISTERING.
All you need to do is have the same exact username-- not the same password. _________________

If you close your browser, you will be logged out. By the beginning of the season, you won't have to be logged in at all. You will just have to click a link from CL.com after being signed in here. _________________ I bleed purple and sweat gold, don't ever question that.

Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/mandingo/public_html/goodcall/functions.php on line 38
No games have been setup yet
It will take care of itself as soon as the first game is over. _________________ I bleed purple and sweat gold, don't ever question that.

Thank you for the compliments. Thank BDG too, without his input and ideas, this wouldn't have been possible.
As to answer your question. Yes it is possible, but it would require a complete redesign of the code.
Maybe next year _________________ I bleed purple and sweat gold, don't ever question that.

That's not a bad choice considering our starters will be benched throughout most of the 4th quarter and rest more than a usual game. _________________

And the fact that he took top scoring honors in a game last year during the REGULAR season. _________________ I bleed purple and sweat gold, don't ever question that.
