1: Bill Waltons "throw it down big guy"..... (most irritating of ALL)

2: Clipper Announcer " BINGO"...... (buckets are rare however , LOL)

3: Marv Alberts "YESSS and it counts" (too much of it during Jordans Reign)

No No No, Walton is fun to listen to. He tries to convert new school to old school and it never works. And his "throw it down big man" phrase is awesome...

I havn't heard the Clipper's announcer because I don't want to hear anybody else besides the Lakers, TNT, and ABC announcers. Have you ever heard S.A. or Dallas's announcers? God the texas accent kills me lol!

And Marv Albert's voice is real appealing to me. I love his phrase - "Gooooooooooooooooooooooooood"

Nah on the contrary... Listenin to Walton, and Tobert argue has gotta be the worst nationally televised experience in NBA history! This is a profession, and listenin to them is str8 stupid!!

Walton's, THROW it DOWN big fella, is str8 GAY! The way he tries to say it with emphisis, is straight killin me... It's funny cuz I'm laughin at him, not with him, cuz he thinks he's coo or hip or tight, and it just aint crackin ova hurr....

LMAO the whole BINGO thang is hilarious!!! It's like announcers are tryin to make a name for themselves with corny @$$ catch phrases... There'll neva be anotha Chick!!! jam2

"Easy play to call. " First Paul Sunderland, then Stu, now Walton etc, are saying it.

WTF does that mean? Just say obvious foul, and move on. The officials blow lots of 'easy' calls. man2

Yeah, and I'm listening on the radio going like
"WTF happened? Who did what? Then he says "DID YOU SEE THAT?"
NO I DIDN"T SEE THAT!!! WHAT HAPPENED? man2
Then Stu would come to the rescue, calmly explaining who did what.

I know I've said this, and it'll probably end up being a catchphrase of the era, but here goes:

I miss Chick! man6

"Throw it down big man, one time!" Has to be the worst color call in the history of the league (as the big redhead would say).

The most thoughtless crowd chant is "Go Spurs Go!"

The worst arena announcement/sound effect is "J-J-J-JAM!!!" every time a Raptor dunks the ball. Do they still do that?

It's a nice place to be from Reddy...

It might work for a hockey town, but I have trouble with sound effects that turn an NBA game in to a Super Nintendo NBA Jam video game. I guess they haven't figured out how to put the fire on the ball and allow goal tending on every single shot.

I agree they can be a little TOO enthusiastic at times, cuzz I still listen to the raps play through audio league pass summtimes, but I dunno it just feels nice to hear them. Raptors rarely won this year, and when they do, the announcers say raps win! like 20 times, cuzz it's so rare. And the raps love to dunk, gets the ACC (Air Canada Center) really into the game.....
JAAAAAAAAAm, they don't use it that much, maybe once or twice a game, but they now use SLAAAAAAAAAM more.

And speaking of hockey, I love the MAple Leafs! bow jam2

Let's face it. We had the best announcer ever in Chick. All you have to do is listen to the announcers for other teams, and you hear how bad they are immediately. In the LA area, I hear the guys for the Clippers and the Bulls, and they're pathetic. My mom lives near Sac, and she says their announcers are pure amateur homers.

Got to go with the Clipper guy's Bingo! and Fasten Your Seatbelts! as the worst catch phrases. There's something about the way that guy says it that makes you cringe.

I love Sundy though, sometimes he makes a mistake, but Chick (although way better) did often make little mental errors like calling slava "Med-devenko" and sometimes calling current Lakers by old laker's names...no one is perfect..I do miss Chick tho...

True, god this is so true, and it may not be that the other announcers are bad, but it just makes you realize, truly, how damn good Chicky baby was to us...

The only true anti-lakers are JeffFag-Gundy, Charley Rosen, and Tom Tolbert.
