Iverson ran out of gas by the 4th... 1/4 FG (dude got no rest), Melo was 0/4... JR Smith played like crap, and K-Mart was bricking crucial free throws.

Go Lakers! bow

Gotta give Fish props... It seems like he is our consistent #2 compared to Odumb.

Odumb is just not needed on this team.

Gotta give credit to Ariza. Granted, AI probably got tired and started to cool down. Regardless, Ariza had a hand in cooling him down.

Ahhhh .... sometimes you just gotta smirk. This was the best victory by FAR of the season, at least for me.

The refs still sucked, the guys just pulled through it and didn't really complain a lot during the game and let it affect them. We won despite them, that's why you won't see a thread, if you lose and you get screwed by them you complain, if you win you shrug and move on. But come on, they were horrible, these type of refs are THE model for buying into flopping and allowing it to go on in our league. Just call nothing and it goes away, don't buy into it.

Vlad needs to do what he did tonight. Don't really force anything, he'll eventually get his 3 point shots and make them...

I agree. I've been a huge Odom supporter and I love that guy as a person (from what I've heard), but he's just not a good fit for this team. In a year, maybe Ariza can take his starting spot. If we could get back a backup 2 and a starting caliber, defensive PF, I'd definitely trade Odom. If Ariza develops a spot up, midrange shot, we could be very deadly.

With that said, though, Odom did have a decent first half.

I know that typically road teams don't get calls on the road, but this was ridiculous. Especially the ones on Fisher.

There were a lot of fouls the Lakers got away. But as a Laker fan, you take whatever game comes to you.

He said that "Iverson is a hell of a player."

I don't think that warrants a suspension though.

LMAO ... your hate is showing. Odom went 17/7/4.

At least hold your idiotic "Odumb" usage until a game where he actually DOES stink.

I don't want to knock Odom in a win, but while he got his points he dissapeared a the end as usual. Either he was invisible or he was letting a shot clock expire. man11

KB IS CLUTCH! bow

Our bench players did well tonight in the 3rd by not giving up a lead & staying w/ the Nuggets, I mean Iverson.

Oh and the refs calls on AI were complete BS... 'tis all.

GO LAKERS!!! jam2 jam2 jam2

i've said it before and ill say it again

ARIZA needs more minutes...the dude is prolly the only other guy besides Kobe that can D up on the perimeter....i like luke and vlad and sure they can both score and help on offense but their offense doesnt compensate for their defense...Ariza can help out in that department...

Despite only 2 pts and 2 rebounds...Bynum was huge defensively...thats what i like about bynum...he can have a bad game but he can STILL impact the game in some way....

I'm gonna watch the replay of this game cuz i came in late...can someone explain to me how we let Iverson score 51 on us? that's really what shocked me...i know the dude can score but 51? come on now...and refs? whats the deal with that? I'm gonna watch this game again to make my own observations....overall...GREAT back to back for lakers...we need to capitalize at home tho...we've been crappy and us fans deserve to see the Lakers get some Ws...

i got pissed when carmelo went down early in the game and ALMOST injured/took out andrew bynum in the process! PUNK! first the sasha choke! now that!

disagree

then the najera trip on kobe! DAMN DIRTY MEXICAN! disagree

JUUUUST KIDDING Just kidding.. lol i'm mexican anyway.. but i'm playing.. mhihi but no seriously that did piss me off as i'm sure the majority laker fans..

iverson was just on fire.. not really farmar nor fisher's fault.. when a guy's hot like that, you can be right in their face, they can force shots, but ultimately you just say better offense beats better defense. or something like that. hah

i'd still take kenyon over kwame, but at the same time i STRONGLY dislike kenyon's attitude.. he is an arseclown... jr smith head case as well.. melo shaky.. iverson can be whiny too.. and in fact to add to that in my opinion that is one of the reasons why they'll never be a top top team like san antonio or phoenix or dallas i guess lol.. because they lack the mental toughness and maturity/discipline. you can have all the talent in the world, but if you don't have the heart, passion, drive, maturity and discipline consistently for a full 48 minutes game in, game out.. you will not be on the spurs' level.

sorry to get OT - but speaking of the spurs.. they're so good they beat the mavs today without timmy d. sheesh. of course i know they still have tony parker and manu, but the point is they're just so far ahead, not impossible to beat, but DAMN hard.

yeah , he made some dumb plays, one of them in the first half which Worthy talked about during halftime, apparently our defense is bad because Odom is deaf,Kobe told him to rotate to Anthony and he didn't, then he looked like he pointed to someone after the score as if it wasnt his fault at all.

My thoughts on the game.

Kobe, nuff said.

Ariza did a good job on AI. Great move by Phil.

Andrew was sick, literally. Great game winning defense though.

Vlad needs more time, man. Those 3s are just beautiful.

And Odom and Luke disagree

Addition by substraction..trade Odom for a second round pick. j/k but really the guy needs to go..

Allen Iverson not guarded by Ariza: 49 points.

Allen Iverson guarded by Ariza: 2 points.

You decide.

last night was the first time since the playoffs that i was really into a game. I was cheering, clapping, cussing, you name it. Usually im laid back during regular season games unless its a really good game. But tnite, against the Denver Tattoo's, i was really pumped. Maybe it was Iverson torching us, and all the commentators were praising him like he was god, yet they were still losing at certain points in the game, maybe it was the denver fans cheering when kobe went down, maybe it was Melo's stupid little smirk he always has, maybe it was the referee's late whistle calling, maybe it was a mixture of all four, but i was really pumped up and im glad LA shut Denver up and came out on top.
