Sasha is an idiot for not knowing the score and Fisher is a selfish punk for not passing it to a streaking and open Kobe on that final shot.
Lakers fans were getting really damn cocky since the acquisition of Gasol talking nonsense like championships and "owning" Phoenix. Maybe this loss and with the Suns acquiring Shaq....REALITY can sink in for some of you. |

1) Defense, Defense
2) Kobe has to be the leader on defense, energy; leave the jumpshots to his teammates
3) Rebound
This SUCKS! |

Just to let you know Horford was Gasol's man. Odom had 10 defensive rebounds while Gasol had 4. _________________

Kobe played like crap, especially in the 2nd half. He took way too many forced, contested jumpers. Only basket he made in the 4th, correct me if I'm wrong, was on a layup. Not gonna cut it.
Bad decision making by all the Lakers in the 4th, both sides of the floor. They made more plays at the end than us, that's all there is to it. 2 games on this trip we shoulda won, we should be 5-0 on this roadie right now. Oh well. For some reason this one's easier to swallow than the DET game. We'll regroup. _________________ I drank a fifth of vodka, dare me to drive?

| Looks like they expected to win just by showing up. Hopefully it's a reality check for them. Terrible game in general, but much of the responsibility falls on Kobe's shoulders. |

No big deal. Kobe’s hurt, Pau still learning the offense, 2nd game of back to back on the road, 5th game of a 9 game roady. _________________

Pretty much. It was a bonehead move, but as Phil is going to say, the game wasn't lost on that one possession. _________________

One of the worst games in a while... On the plus side:
-This was a back to back
-Pau missed shots he usually makes
-Some of Kobes misses were the direct result from the pinky
-Pau is still getting used to the triangle.
I'd gladly sacrifice a few games for Pau to get comfortable.
I'm as disappointed as everyone, but still. Let's keep our heads up, CL.. _________________ "The thing that made push pops good is that you had to work for them. IF YOU WERE WEAK YOU DIDN'T GET ANY." |

| im pleading for everyone on this board to look up the word hubris....we cannot get ahead of ourselves. YES we have gasol but we still have half a season 2 go...its going to be really bad karma if we keep predicting a 3-peat again or something. this is not what we want...we want teams to not look at us and be like "we need to dethrone them" we just gotta play smart ball and just move it along...rmr guys... HUBRIS...not a good thing |

Poor Sasha...
If there is a person to blame, it's Kobe. Forcing shots and backcourt violation. _________________ ""I eat babies!!! Woot woot" |

This was a good game from the standpoint the team was riding too high off the Gasol trade. They need to know that a lot of work is left to be done. Keep these guys sharp and on their game and we'll be fine.
Look Kobe pretty much was a non-factor tonight, almost a detriment considering he shot 25%. If we had a healthy Kobe we win this game easily. I kind of wished Kobe would have just rested this game to get his finger healed, but this is Kobe for you. |

I agree, this game doesn't make me nearly as mad as the Detroit game or the Cleveland game. On to Orlando. _________________

It's one game. One game. The Spurs and many good teams have lost to the Hawks, it happens. One game, doesn't take away from the fact that we're still a great team. Yeah, Kobe sucked, but he doesn't suck so who cares, he'll bounce back. Great game by Odom I thought, sorry it went to waste. _________________ Weezy's Weemens

| Okay, let's keep calm. Kobe hurt, Pau still figuring this out (and as damn cold as I've ever seen him, it's bound to happen to everyone every once in a while). So Kobe or whoever made a stupid mistake and -amongst other reasons- we lost a winnable game. Okay, so it's a big shame. End of story. We're not suddenly the worst team ever. Kobe didn't cease to be the best player in the game overnight. We will bounce back. Book it. |

Don't get too upset, it's not a big deal. We're still experimenting with the new lineup and everything. Don't worry. It's a loss, but you should not get too upset after every loss. The one against the Pistons was much worse. _________________

Tough loss, but oh well. Everyone played poorly in the 4th quarter. Kobe lost his handles late. Shot only 4-16, he needs to realize that his shot is off, just face the fact that you're not shooting well right now Kobe. Even Pau did poorly...just everyone.
But the thing is, this shows that we can't win every game. We're better with Pau, but the thing is you can't forgot that we're still on this 9 game road trip, and this a second of a back to back. You can't expect us to win every game now since we have Pau.
I do expect us to play better the more games Pau plays with us, and when he fully learns the triangle (2 weeks?)

Sasha didn't miss 12 shots out of 16, and turn the ball over on the second to last possession when the Lakers could have taken the lead. |

right, we need some games to integrate the player. and sometimes the effect is better when we lose. its a fun game nonetheless, i like the hawks. played with alot of energy and passion. i love these kinda teams.
and yes, the blame is on our leader, kobe. think gasol will demand to be traded out ? |

was that sarcastic or not.
yeah, sasha made a bonehead play, but so did basically everyone who went on the court for the lakers in the fourth quarter.
the lakers offense stalled, and kobe and gasol didn't do the P&R game that worked well for them eysterday _________________

It wasnt, we didnt shoot well at all. Kobe only hits like 3 shots the whole game. And no one could rebound.
