Will this be like Roger Bannister and the 4:00 mile? Now that Kobe has scored 80, which player is most likely to gun for 80 next?

If Shaq weren't so old and fat, he would be a lock. Realistically, though, I can see McGrady and Iverson giving it a shot. In fact, I will be surprised if one of those guys doesn't at least try to make a run at it. What do you guys think?

maybe iverson. tmac admitted when he shoots 30+ times he gets real tired. iverson is the only one who cares that much about scoring to try. he knows he has to have a stretch of big games to catch up in the scoring race.

I don't think that someone will ever do it, only Kobe can do it again...

No one ever thought anyone could reach 81. 50 years from now comeone could very well pass it.

As for someone going for the record? I don't think many will try, because they will fail horribly, as for those who try? They'll deny it, but we all konw sooner or later someone will try and jack up 50 shots, many from behind the arc.

You know it's going to be T-Whack or AI.

T-Whack took 32 shots last night, and still kept firing while his team was already up 16 with 2 mins to play in the 4th.

lebron?
i think he'll get up to 70 in his career.
i don't think that he'll go out there anytime for the rest of the season trying to score more than kobe though.

.

i think iverson will give it a shot.
if you notice...everytime kobe goes for 50+, iverson does too....the next day.
3 days after that 63 point dallas game, iverson went for 53

and i think he's the only one with enough balls to launch that many shots.
mcgrady can shoot. but i think van gundy would sit him down after about 40 FG attempts.

But other than that, probably no one. If TMac was completely healthy, maybe him as well.

But for the better teams...

It isn't necessary because other TEAMS don't have an OVERELIANCE on 1 guy to get W's. They balance the defined roles to give their team a decided advantage.
