Perhaps the biggest difference in this team from last year and this year is their depth allows them to deal with injuries better.

C Bynum - Kwame
F Odom - Radmanovic - Turiaf
F Ariza - Walton
G Bryant - Vujacic
G Fisher - Farmar

We're unlucky this game as LO and Vlad are both probably out, but in general look at all those guys that can step in and fill various positions.

Kwame's basically missed as much as he did last year at this point. Mihm's been a non-factor, as he was last year. But Bynum's been so much better, it hasn't mattered.

Odom's been injured early in the season, and wasn't himself until December. Again, the Lakers were able to get through that because of Radmanovic, Walton, Turiaf all playing well in November.

This team really does have about 11 guys that can step in and give the 10-15 points a night. From Kobe, Bynum, Odom, Fisher, Farmar, Radmanovic, Walton, Ariza, Turiaf, Vujacic ... and we basically only need 6 out of those 10-11 guys to play well each night to have enough points on the board to win. Then it comes down to defense, and how well they've played D that particular night.

Good Strategy/Roster for the regular season. Come playoffs though, our core and 8 man rotation has to be set and very consistent to have success IMO.

kwame already returned from the injury.
the groin thing for kobe is the thing he has been playing on for the last month
luke has already returned from the ankle injury.

sasha's thing is over a week old and has played on it some
mihm's injury is chronic

the only recent injury on that whole list is vlad's

as far as times to get injured, this is a pretty good time considering were gonna play a bunch of bad teams and we can handle them even if were not at full strength

Real GM: Daily News - Vladimir Radmanovic might be sidelined for up to four games because of a sprained right ankle.

Radmanovic was injured near the end of Thursday's practice and couldn't play Friday against the Philadelphia 76ers , a 124-93 Lakers victory.

LA Times: Forward Vladimir Radmanovic did not play Friday and could miss three more games because of a sprained right ankle he sustained Thursday at practice, Jackson said.

"The moment that they cut the tape off him, his foot ballooned up in 15 seconds," Jackson said. "I don't expect [him] on Sunday" against Indiana.
