Joe Carbone Opens Athlete BuildersPress Release submitted to Clublakers.com: ATHLETE BUILDERS OPENS IN ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA The first long term athlete development program in the OC announces their inaugural academy dates.
“Training specifically for one or two sports is not a good strategy for long term development,” says co-founder Joe Carbone. “Our philosophy is focused on comprehensive and well balanced training, building athletes to be adaptable and attain their maximum performance over time.” Joe Carbone is well-known as the first exclusive trainer to Kobe Bryant for nearly a decade. Currently the Los Angeles Lakers Strength & Conditioning Coach, he co-founded Athlete Builders with John Fox who noted, “The athletes who attend Athlete Builders academies will come as sport-specific and multi-sport participants. They will become students of overall athletic ability which will pave their personal path to success in athletics and in life.” Attending academy athletes will be put through their paces in a program custom designed by Joe Carbone based on his “5 Point” training philosophy – Foundation Training, Fundamental Movement Training, ABC Training, Performance Training and Collateral Aptitude Training. The inaugural academy in September welcomes athletes of all ages, from all sports – Star Academy (Boys & Girls, ages 5-8), All-Star Academy (Boys & Girls, ages 9-12), Junior Varsity Academy (Boys & Girls, ages 13-15), Varsity Academy (Boys & Girls, ages 16-18), Elite Academy (Men & Women, age 19+), Weekend Warrior Academy (Men & Women, all ages). Additional academies are being scheduled in the immediate future. Early registration is encouraged. The company is a welcome addition to the Orange County area. “Building Better Athletes” is all they do, with their formula for success from youth sports to the pros. Their academies may soon become invaluable for all athletes on their journey to achievement in sport and life. Sound off in the Lakers Forums!
