Jackson´s role in Kobe´s surge

Jackson´s role in Kobe´s surge

Postby KB24 on Tue Jan 24, 2006 7:18 am

Anybody remember when Jackson came back.
In the press conference he was asked why he came back. He talked about a trememdous opportunity to come back and he called it an act of reconciliation, redemption and this stuff. But at one point he said "I came back to protect this kid. All-NBA 3rd team? enaugh said".

Phil has done a hell of a job to give Kobe perfect circumstances to succeed. I mean after last year people would argue whether he is the best SG, right now NOBODY can argue whether he is the best individual player in this league". Thats quiet a mind-boggling accomplishment.

At this point we should give the old ma some credit, allthough he has weird substitution patterns.

If we end up with 50 wins or so, I can actually see Phil getting coach of the year and Kobe MVP ..... and I never thought I could EVER say that.

Yeap, i was thinking the same for weeks now.Kobe has someone who understand him and respect him and knows how to elevate his game even higher.

It's a tremendous story - a story of reconciliation and redemption. "

I honestly believe that the "redemption" part was that he would help resurrect Kobe and push him to another level.

Heh. An almost 9 point increase in scoring average...countless 40-point games...62 in 3....81....

I'd say he's at another level....
