NBA to sell special #81 Kobe jersey

According to Mike Bass, the league's vice president of marketing communications, a commemorative No. 81 jersey will be put on sale this week.

This is from the L.A. Times.

Anyone actually going to buy that? :man1:

I think he easily could. I rewatched the game and I was surprised that he even scored that much. Basically, only the first 50-55 points are the "tough" ones, i.e he has to get those when the game is still in doubt, the rest he could just force it.

If he could get 5 or 6 of these 80-point games, then it's just as good as scoring 100, at least as far as his scoring prowess is concerned.

Given that it's coming out so soon, I doubt it will be that expensive.

Probably just going to be some kind of screen-printed replica.

I'll buy it if only it won't be too expensive. I don't wanna pay 200 bucks for that jersey, better I'll buy personalized jersey with number 81 on it and Kobe's name...

I mean for Nike its also going to be great. kobe´s game right before his own shoe is coming out? :man4: I´m sure the Nike front office had party all day and all night :man12:

Trust me ... Nike already has a commercial on paper .... don't be surprised if they replaced the one they had for ASG weekend with an 81 points commercial .... they won't miss this chance to cash in.
