Big Z's Return: Should the Rules Change?

A tidbit:

Over a month ago, the Cleveland Cavaliers acquired Antawn Jamison in a 3-team trade. Essentially, they traded Zydrunas Ilgauskas (aka Big Z) and a pick for Antawn Jamison. This trade already sounded/sounds somewhat lopsided. Nevertheless, the Washington Wizards got what they wanted by shedding some cap space so the trade went through.

Why a lot of people are crying foul is that Big Z was going to be bought out and brought back to the Cavaliers. You knew it. I knew it. Your grandma knew it. Anyone who has an ounce of knowledge about the NBA knew that once the Wizards bought out Big Z, he was returning to the Cavaliers. The only two requirements were to be bought out before March 1st and to wait 30 days before re-signing.

In the past, a similar situation has happened, which brought about this 30-day rule...

Really, what did Cleveland give up to get Jamison? NOTHING! I don't want to hear how LA was givin Pau for just Kwame anymore. That should have stopped still Marc has been having a great year, but after this? No one should even mention our trade unless they're saying how much better we've gotten since he's been here.

I pretty much agree that the rules should change. The first changes to the rules really didn't do anything... I'm expecting the NBA to do something this summer. If not.. :disagree:

This rule is a joke.

IIRC Alonzo also got back to the Heat after being bought out by the Nets a few years back.
