2004 Western Standings!!!!!!

1.) Lakers
2.) San [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.]
3.) Twolves
4.) Dallas
5.) [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.]
6.) Pheonix
7.) Portland
8.) Houston or Golden State or Seattle

Reasons: I really do think LA will be #1. Twolves at 3 because of their upgrades this offseason. they will be very good, but not good enough to go all the way. [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] at 5 because they have kept the same team WHILE EVERYONE HAS BEEN UPGRADING. do they really think they can still win with that team ?? plus they might lack the heart this year. Pheonix will improve uo to 6 with their experience if they stay healthy. Portland will each the players only because of Rasheed and Derek Anderson. And at 8, ill say Houston because of Van Gundy. I still mgiht say GS if they sign Arenas back and Seattle still might get up there. I dont know about that 8 spot. Tell me what u think my fellow Laker-O-Matics....

funny thing about being a champion, other teams target you. so I don't see the Spurs at two. Maybe three, but not two. Other teams will be like, "oh, so you are the current champs, eh?". "Take this dunk in ya mouth and this elbow to your gut". It happened to the Bulls, Lakers, etc. When your on top, everybody wants to knock you down. Otherwise I like the list. Rockets at 8, Ming will play better this year.
Buckle up! This off season is going to be some ride...

and i also think that everyone will target LA more so than San [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] because of our all star team

Purhaps, but sometimes the mentallity is "in order to be the champs, you got to beat the champs." The Lakers were champs. Within a year, they will be champs again.

1 Duh :jam2:
2 Dallas, Mark is doing whatever he can to improve that team.
3 Sacramento, Same team, same spot
4 Minnasota, West in general got stronger, so wolves stay at 4
5 San Antonio, No improvement, in fact, the Robinson is gone.
6 Portland, besides off court problems, this is a good team
7 Pheonix, Steph - nuff said ... ROY
8 Rockets, Yao will play better
Buckle up! This off season is going to be some ride...

1- LAKERS (most impressive team EVERRRRRR assembled)
2- SPURMS ( no matter what the other midwest team does.. they STILL have NO ANSWER for DUNCRAP!!!!)
3- SAC ( same team, same finish, same outcome)
4- DALLAS ( they don't have the MUSCLE comes POST SEASON!!! they failed to lure MOURNING and or PJ Brown. So the run and gun team will faulter this year as teams are prepared for them this time around)
5- Minny ( CASSELL will make a big difference this year!!! its too bad they are not in the EAST where they would be the odds on favorite in the east)
6- Portland (lots of talent, no chemistry,.. plus MIGHTY MOUSE is in trouble ... 3 strikes your out right?...)
7- HOUSTON (JEFF GUNDY will have them play some EAST coast style DEFENSE... "ruff and dirty" YAO should improve with a year under his belt.. PHEONIX has no answer for YAO and so does a lot of other teams)
8- Pheonix (HOUSTON and PHEONIX will be battling over the 7 & 8th spot.... AMARE might finds some Sophmore jinx as team adjust to his style of play. He need to develop a go to move which he can fall back on. As AMARE goes so does PHEONIX ... he is their only legit big man in an AWFULLY BIG WEST COAST CONFERENCE)

You should also post your responce that you put on his Topic when he couldn't reply. 82-0, yeaah, I likes the sound of that. They might let one slip because of the "Big Head" syndrome. Oh wait, that happened all ready.
Buckle up! This off season is going to be some ride...

1 more thing...i think minnesota is capable of taking the midwest IF they get howard and sign rasho back....BECAUSE dallas wont start otu 14-0 again. thats why they finsihed like that did, tied with SA for the best record. Second, SA doesnt know jack about defending anything. 4 superstars are too much. and duncrap is crap when is forced to do something quick or do something in the clutch. and [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] will finish about 5th because they are keeping the same team when everyon eis improving..........

the new name for the queens should be Portland #2.

Don't sleep on Seattle...

1. Dallas (they're gonna come out HOT ya'll)
2. Lakers (the mystique is back)
3. San Antonio
4. Sacramento
5. Seattle (Ridnour ya'll.. gonna be sick. I'm afraid of those heads already)
6. Minnesota
7. Houston
8. Phoenix

Portland is done... Pippen is gone -- no doubt "High-Five" will implode.

1. Lakers
2. Spurs (assuming they get a big man)
3. Mavericks
4. Kings
5. Timberwolves (finally got some help for KG, but it's 2 little 2 late)
6. Suns
7. Trailbrazers
8. Rockets

hey club lakers....that was what my thinking was.....seattle has a good chance of making it........but i do belieave as long as rasheed wallace is on that team, they'll make it to the playoffs, but wont advance. and i do think sacrapmento will be weakened because they wont upgrade their team while everyone else is. ray allen and rashard lewis will carry that team to the playoffs if anything. i wanted to put seattle over houston, but houston's coach will get them there.

1. Lakers
2. Spurs
3. Kings
4. Mavs
5. Wolves
6. Suns
7. Rockets
8. Warriors

Portland's chemistry is messed up. Damon smokes weed. Rasheed is a ticking time bomb. Pippen is gone. Patterson will murder Zach Randolph with a sawed-off. They have a guy named "Outlaw."

They need to make 10 seeds for the West... we're just too good...

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

I was thinking that Sheed would be the reason they would NOT make it. If they are looking to Chernobyl to lead that team then they're in a ton of trouble.

Assuming we do acquire Payton and Malone here's the way I see things...

1. Lakers (74 - 8)
2. Mavericks
3. Spurs
4. T-Wolves
5. Queens
6. Trail Blazers
7. Rockets
8. Suns

I think the Spurs will lose edge big time. No more Robinson to help Duncan 'slow down' Shaq, who will be in shape and whoop [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.]. Plus what was mentioned earlier, people are always looking to show the champions off. If we can call San Antonio that..... The Mavericks are gonna do good but can never bring down L.A.

Round 1

Lakers 4 -- Suns 0
Mavericks 4 -- Rockets 1
Spurs 4 -- Trail Blazers 2
T-Wolves 4 -- Queens 2

Round 2

Lakers 4 -- T-Wolves 0
Mavericks 4 -- Spurs 2

Conference Finals
Lakers 4 -- Dallas 0

Finals

Lakers 4 -- (whoever make it here get swept) :man10:
