Having not played for another pro team I would be surprised if he didn't think of himself as a Laker still. I still don't know why we cut him, rather would have had him than Morris. But, the playing time in the D-League appears to have been a good thing for him.

If he comes in and hits 3 out of 7 shots while not giving up twice as much at the other end I'd be happy.

I don't expect him to be a savior, but he is a scorer that's gained confidence in the D-League, and if given the green light here for a couple games with nothing to lose, he could surprise us.

I'm glad the team brought back Gl0ck. I thought it was a bad decision keeping Morris and letting Goudelock go, while he's not a good defensive player he really does bring it offensively.

I hope he drops 25 and we win both games as well..... but I still remember seeing him completely overmatched on a nightly basis at this level. I hope his time in the D league has helped him adjust to the pro game but then again Ebanks time there was a waste beyond belief.....

I'd be happy with 6 to 10 points a game with smart play that doesn't give up more at one end than he gets us back at the other......

^^^Ebanks and Morris sucked in the D-League. I know it doesn't translate almost ever, but I feel better knowing we called up a guy that was actually dominating down there instead of having two guys on our bench that go down there and put up the same numbers or worse then they would in an actual NBA game.

I remember him being outmatched, but I did like his defensive effort at least, for the most part he could stay in front of his man or at least keep on his hip. I also would be happy with 5 to 10 points from him for a couple games. One thing you can point to is he wasn't average in the d-League like Morris, Ebanks and others we've sent, he balled there. From that video posted in this thread he looks thinner and in better shape to me, could help him at the NBA level, we'll just have to see.

Look at how bad Blake looked under Brown and look how good he looks under D'Antoni. Imagine how much better Glock will do here. My only concern is will MDA even give him a chance, its really late in the season

I'm a little concerned with this as well, but then why would we bring him in and not play him. Kobe and Nash both out, we need guys on the floor. I think he will get playing time, we can't run with 7 guys, so unless Morris AND Duhon play ahead of him he'll get out there. And if they do, why did we even bring him in? He knows the team, he's in game shape, he's got to play.

Theres always a disconnect between the Front office and the coach...back in 2011 we traded Sasha to save money to get Joe Smith to backup Pau and he never played instead we ran him out there playing 40 mins a night until Drew returned. Hope both are on the same page.

Guys I'm not arguing anything here but expectations..... If he drops 25 and plays decent defense I'll be as happy as anyone else....

As Doc mentioned... results at that level rarely translate and his biggest issue was being overmatched physically on a nightly basis. While you can refine your game at that level you don't grow taller, get faster or jump higher.... he's as skilled as a lot of NBA players but where he fell short was the basics of size and athleticism. If we can create open looks for him that would go a long way in overcoming this but if we're tossing him the ball on the wing and hoping he's going to break someone down and score on a consistent basis that's a little too much to expect from him.

I just watched one of his recent games and he does look a little slimmer and especially more confident.

With 7 deep MDA, the real concern is if he will even see the floor..... We might run Duhon all game anyway.

I think with freedom Glock can be great off the bench. look defense isnt our strong suit. With Nash out and Blake starting our backup PG defense is gunna be terrible weather its with Morris or Duhon. Morris has actually shown promise on defense more than anyone but Dantoni loves a 3 point shooter. I think the fact that Glock has played with the lakers before and shown that given minutes and freedom he is capable of contributing double digits. the only thing holding him back was defense and play making.

it looks like hes improved his PG skills, still has his scoring "mini-mamba" mentality and toughness, and has toned his body a bit and looks better and stronger.

I have no problem with bringing him back and playing him behind Blake for 2 games. I would say that its kind of ocnfusing as to why Duhon wont get the minutes or hasnt with Nash being out. that i dont get bc hes been great at playmaking and 3 point shooting. So it'll be interesting to see if Glock is actually gunna play or just brought in for practice and insurance.

either way Glock is a baller and fan favorite already from day 1. if he gets minutes and freedom he'll be dropping floaters, drilling 3's, and looking to attack all night. it also helps that hes playing for something more. hes playing for his career, for his livelihood, hes playing for his chance in the nba and hes not gunna give anything less than his all.

Are you kidding me. This is like one of those sports movies where the greatest player is injured and the little guy no one expected to ever make it is called up to sub in for him. He suddenly catches fire and rises to and above the occasion. The little guy IS the ultimate Cinderella story as against all odds he leads this team to a championship. #glockerella!!!111!!!

Book it.

Sure, Glock with at least 12-15 PPG in these two games before the playoffs. The kid is obviously pumped. He knows what's at stake. He wants to be an NBA player? OK, here is your chance to earn that paycheck.

Not to mention other teams are not going to scout Glock right now. They don't really know if he can get hot or if he needs to be defended at all. It's going to be Clark 2.0. Yes, they figured out Clark eventually, but when MDA started playing him, other teams didn't know what to expect at all.

This is really true. Dwight will help him get open/better looks but I think Nash will help more.

Be happy with 6-10 pts and don't give up too much at the other end.
