Check out the names right on top of him http://www.basketball-reference.com/lea ... areer.html

which is why i've maintained for a while now that jamison is a borderline HOF'er

people can hate all they want but the numbers dont lie, and he's quietly put up some pretty good numbers for the past 12-13 years

he considers himself a hall of famer, as well as Ron Ron,

in the lakers backstage, he said in a team with 6 future HOFers,

which basically means kobe, pau, nash, dwight, artest, and himself

take a look at some of the names in the HOF and their numbers and then rethink your statement

keep in mind jamison played in the modern era where there is more than 8 teams and the competition is alot tougher than it was in the 50s-70s

With the very low standards of the HoF, Jamison may get in!

To be quite honest, Jameson's career statistics only line him up with players that broke boundaries (outside of basketball) or played for championship teams that kept their numbers low... His career accomplishments are what's going to keep him out.

http://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/hof_prob.html

Basketball-reference list his chances of getting into the HoF: 6% :man2:

Once he wins two rings here, he'll get in.

Some of his numbers are pretty much Hall of Fame numbers. What'll keep him out is his lack of accomplishments.

He needs a ring. That's why he came here.

I felt so bad for Jamison when he was getting DNP's for a stretch of games. I'm glad he's found his defined role & identity on this team. Good for him...

i felt really bad when dan tony came and pretty much forgot all about jamison. i think we all forget that he took alot less money AND gave up the chance to play close to come in order to come to LA and win a ring. i'm glad to see he's really been making a difference as of late

Me three. :jam2:

I've always liked Jamison and I was so glad we got him in the offseason. Now that he has his role defined he's truly bringing it. Definitely want him back next year.

if the team was playing like this with no injuries from day 1 and jamison like this now that hes comfortable and knows his role; than he'd be in the running for 6 MOTY

by far one of the best off ball player I've seen dawn a Laker uni. I thought Barnes was good at it besides his inability to finish at the rim :man10: , Ariza was decent but not like this.

jamison is probably one of the first catch / shoot players I've felt confident shooting in a long time.

he's been spectacular.

number wise it makes sense that hed be a HOF but i think bc of the lack of exposure due to being on many small market teams it'll hurt his chances. hes been putting up all star numbers his whole career and has a 6th MOTY under his belt.

artest's past has also been allstar and the numbers he used to put up and being regarded as one of the best defenders in the game for many years earlier in his career he could be too.

i just doubt both with get HOF unfortunately.

The other problem for him is that he's never had a huge impact on the league. He's put up all of these numbers, but he's never really DONE anything. That's why he wants this ring so badly. That's why he was willing to come here.

exactly

he's played on some really bad teams (early 2000's warriors, wizards and cavs) throughout his career so this is probably his last chance to accomplish something and win a ring. i just wish this season could have gone better for him from the team perspective so that he could finally win that ring

The guy is a good basketball player and has been for most of his career. The problem is, the HOF is supposed to be reserved for GREAT basketball players. He's a 2 time all-star, has no individual accomplishments, has no rings, has had no real team accomplishments, has maybe 1 or 2 notable performances....come on now. Basketball is about more than numbers.
