Cavs still open to sign and trade with free agent forward Antawn Jamison just as long as they don't get players back, sources tell Y!

Yeah Antawn will just have to sign for the vets minimum. We gave away all our picks in the Nash trade.

Jamison + KI for Murphy + Blake.

Dan Gilbert loves the Lakers, so I'm sure he'd sign off.

He would be a much needed asset. Coming off the bench would really suit him & he would be getting more open looks then he was in Cleveland. I think his FG% would go up and he would be able to stretch the defense allowing more spacing. Actually, Grant and him are both decent from that range. We need shooters.

Guess you didn't read the tweet. Cleveland doesn't want any players. They want draft picks, a TPE, etc.

Send Blake to Portland for a TPE, then use it on Jamison. Bam.

That would be lovely. Sucks that Portland is probably going with youth at PG though with Lillard and Nolan Smith....

Drat, forgot about Smith. I hear Dallas needs a backup PG if Cuban wants to help us again. :man10:

Jamison and Dwight to LA, we ship out a combo of Bynum, mcroberts, ebanks, and goudelock.

I'd have to imagine cle would need to move Tristan Thompson, picks, and maybe their rookies.

We'll S&T him for draft picks + cash.

We gave ours to Phoenix for Nash, so no dice.

Well the Cavs have no say, Jamison's a FA. If he wants to come here and contend for a title we can sign him for the vet min, maybe the mini-MLE if the FO is willing to spend.

I'm almost positive it's the Dwight Howard crap holding everything up. Both on our end and the Nets' end. If nothing resolves soon, I see him going home for sure.

I gotta imagine the nets and lakers both offering the vet minimum and maybe the bobcats offering the MLE or something to even be considered.

With that said I think he comes to LA. Sunshine, contender or 7 game win season rebuild team? I think the "playing for the hometown team" factor may be overblown. Only thing he would care about is play for a championship at 1.3 mil or lose 70 games for 5 mil

Apparently he was rumored to be a part of the sign and trade to the Nets for Howard when the Cavs were rumored to be doing that for the Nets.

Jamison was very excited when he got sent to Cleveland because he thought he was going to have a chance at a championship. Then bam, LeBron left.

He wants a championship and obviously Charlotte is far from that. I don't think Brooklyn is that close either.

It comes down to the Lakers. :jam2:

Let's hope he makes his decision soon, and I hope it's us. We need help. Anybody who's watched the Summer League fiasco knows we need talent in the deepest way on that bench.

Drew Hill and Jamison would really help the bench.
