Antawn Jamison Discussion: Cockroach

Wow last few games has been a complete 180 for Antawn. Would be amazing if he could get 6th man at this point of his career.

I'd love to, but highly unlikely with the way Crawford, Smith and even Martin are playing.

Crawford has 6th MOTY locked up. But i think Jamison is playing like one in recent games...hope he keeps it up, it would be huge for us.

Wow!

Talk about going from dud to stud in 60 seconds!

(Or should I say "seven seconds or less?")

see what happens when a guy has been playing out of position all season long and finally the coach realizes it and fixes the mistake

Another thing I haven't seen mentioned is his DEFENSE. He was actually playing tough D out there these last couple of games. Maybe now that he doesn't have to carry the team's offense like he did in Cleveland he can afford to put more energy on the defensive side of the ball.

He impressed me against Memphis the way he wasn't backing down from ZBo and last night vs Dallas he did pretty good aas well. Idk what the stats look like but he was giving good effort on D.

Antawn looks good, 12/8 from him every night would be great.

I love his movement off the ball. It's kinda like Barnes', but he can actually make layups :man10:

If he continues to get playing time at the 4 I expect these results to continue. Hopefully MDA sees the same thing and doesn't try playing him at the three again.

19/15 wont happen every game but thats what hes capable of on any night. if he plays the 4 and has some good passers around him he'll do work. hes an excellent cutter, rebounder, and shooter. cant wait for him to play with Nash.

Well he didn't do anything today. I noticed on his 3s though that he often misses to one side or another (left or right). That's a sign his form isn't too great. Great shooters with good form usually only miss short or long.

Will be efficient by posting up and cutting to the basket ( well Pacers were clogging up the paint) and running the floor ... won't happen as a spot up shooter ... how can you make a jumpshot without balance ... he's leaning to his left on most releases , that's why he misses so badly

Credit to MDA for really giving him a chance...it looked bleak for him a while back but he looks energized again. Good for him and for us.

This is the 6th man that we signed in the offseason.

The best part about his scoring outbursts and recent play since MDA was hired is that he's not making difficult shots, everything is wide open for him, easy shots and it's a matter of him knocking them down.

More of this to come for sure. :jam2:
