are the lakers starting to take a backseat to the clippers?

the lakers are boring and dry while the clippers have become fun and exciting. and alot of people in l.a. are talking about how entertaining the clippers are and how they're the new showtime. have they replace the lakers as the new kings of l.a.?

For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

They're more exciting and currently the better team in L.A

I would hold off on the "kings of L.A" though until they win at least one championship, I still expect us to go further than them in the playoffs.

We have never and will never take a backseat to the Clippers. We have more championships than they do actual fans.

I'm sorry until Clippers win multiple championships in a row, Lakers still own Los Angeles, they own Staples Center, they own Figueroa Street. Yeah Clippers night be fun to watch now, but even the little brother gets one on big brother once in a while.

BTW :man13: there's only one team that are Kings of L.A., and they play hockey.

Clippers could win 2-3 titles and never really take anything away from the Lakers. The Clippers will always be the slow lil brother who finally made a shot.Right now everyone is clain or them, but in time they will be back to being the Clippers witout the bandwagon of fans.

Yes lakers fans we know you have 16 titles and are arguably the best franchise in nba history and you'll always be the team of LA. But geez let us true clippers fans have our fun. Clipper fans would turn on that team if the Lakers met them in the playoffs
I should get an assist for that. It's an intentional pass to oneself, so it's an assist. That way people can't say all I do is shoot.

I'd say the Clippers gain new "Fans" every time the Lakers beat a team. So they probably have quite a number of "Fans". Of course, the only fans the Clippers have are Laker haters that can't admit they just hate the Lakers. That, and recently, bandwagon fans.

The Clippers winning a championship would be a sad, sad day for the entire NBA. I think every team would be embarrassed for letting that happen. Most "Clipper Fans" are actually just Laker haters who live in LA and for whatever reason dislike the Lakers and wants to root for the "underdogs"

We got Jack Nicholson and Denzel Washington. They have Bill Murray...
