Are the Lakers signing too many '6-4"-'6-7"players?

It just seems so to this Laker Fan! I think this team is bringing in too many guard and Small Forward players and if you ask me, The Lakers should go out and get some players who don't mind getting their hands dirty! That is the Lakers need players who will dive for loose balls and just give the extra effort needed for this team to win! What do you think? :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

Well balanced teams where each player knows their role is usually the formula for winning championships! The Lakers need to get back to those things that brought the team championships in the past!

They will, but not this year though because it's all about 2014.

Almost every one of our players now is one of those "dirty work" type of players.

The Lakers are fielding a somewhat competitive team this season, while hunting for young talent that they can farm for a Championship caliber team.

They're doing a good job.

And no they aren't signing too many wing players.

Big power forward/centers are hard to come by cheap.

A lot of point guards are bigger than your prototypical 6-6'3, primarily for defensive purposes.

Players between 6'4-6'8 are usually tweener PG/SG or SG/SF. Fill multiple positions without wasting roster space.

We had NO flexibility this year, and picked up some nice low risk/high reward type players that can transition into next year as solid role players.

Signing, no. Bringing into camp, trying out, working out, yeah, possibly, considering we need another true PF IMO. We've only actually signed Young, Johnson, and Harris at the height you brought up. The rest of these players are players we've worked out, had on the summer league team, or will be camp invites. This is what you can expect with an 'Antoni team though, he likes tweeners that can shoot, he likes having interchangeable players, players that have the ability to play the 2, 3 and 4 spots for small ball lineups.

Junk offenses of Golden State and Phoenix in the mid-2000s have always valued 6'3"-6'7" type players. So I'm not surprised.

i really wanted a roster of exclusively 6'3" and 6'8" players, so this offseason has been a disappointment, to say the least.
